More About the Author

I have had an interesting life. I have been a stockbroker, door-to-door salesman, bartender, college professor, vocational rehab counselor, juvenile probation officer, child protection investigator, psychiatric caseworker, Director of Vocational Development in a mental hospital, owner/operator of 18-wheeler tankers in the gas fields of Wyoming, worked in a copper mine in Australia, bummed around the world seeing 22 countries (including places you can't go now, like Afghanistan and Iran), and cowboyed (a little) in Wyoming. I rode my first (and last) bull a week after I turned 40.

I spent an interesting seven and a half months in two Mexican prisons (I was innocent, of course. "¿Qué dice el juez?" "Delito absuelto.")

I have a bachelor's degree in Economics (took eleven years to get that one), a Masters and a Doctorate in Education and live in a self-built, never-to-be-finished log home in Wyoming with my beautiful wife, Charlotte, a Registered Nurse.

A lot of what is in Paris, Wyoming, is there because it pleased me to create it and, in some cases, relive it. I hope you enjoy it.

If you enjoy books that take you through the full range of emotions, I think you'll enjoy this story. It's a study of the human spirit that gives hope to all, no matter your circumstance. Full of caring, love, and compassion, the author seems to have a heart as big as Wyoming. My only wish was that the story had been longer...or that I can hope for a sequel.

I got the impression that this author has actually read very few pieces of literature. He certainly should not be writing a book that anyone else may accidentally read. It's really that bad!

An intriguing novel with a twist that keeps one s atttention. Could not put it down once I started. The characters seem like people that one might know and the lot is presented in such a fashion as you feel you are living it.

Excellent read. There is an unusual mix of characters, all of which are interesting. Their interactions with each other, as odd a mix they may be, is deeply moving.
