When I was shopping for a light tent kit I was tempted by some the cheaper kits that featured smaller lamps. I'm glad I choose this one instead. The included lamps provide good light and color temperature for shooting small and medium size products. I can't imagine trying to get good shots with less light than what these lamps provide. I may, in fact, even add another lamp to light up from the top to really envelop light around the product.

I've used this for flowers, ebay items and some test shots - and it has done the job it's designed for.

The tent is easy to fold down. It comes with the white and black backgrounds as well as a front sheet with a slit in the middle you can stick the lens through.

The lights are easy to assemble and put away into the the enclosed carrying case. My only critique would be that the light could have an extra arm for greater flexibility - but for the price, I don't expect everything.

If you're looking for an affordable way to get into a macro lighting setup, you can't go wrong with this portable studio.

I was skeptical to purchase a $90 photo lightbox kit, but this kit is fantastic.

Excellent sturdy build, ample light, extra back drops a plus.

Only complaint: Reflectors are a tight fit over the bulbs.

I have been working professionally as a photographer for many years but had never tried one of these Light Tents before. It is amazing how well it works and eliminates shadows on the product. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is or has ever considered buying one.

I did some searching for a simple light tent setup for doing product shots and decided to give this package a shot... I was initially surprised with the volume of "stuff" included with a package at this price... Then I was able to quickly and easily set up the kit and take some test shots with a point and shoot. The results were excellent, even with just a snapshot... I emailed the results to the others in company and got very positive feedback.

Regarding the tent - if you pay attention to how it unfolds, you'll have an easier time getting it to refold if you need too...

The only thing that slows down using the setup immediately is the folds in the backdrops. I need to figure out how to steam them to get them smooth. I've read that the company has excellent customer service, so I'll probably be asking them for tips, and find out how true it is...

Quality - everything seems solid enough. It's definitely a lighter weight setup, more specifically the light stands. They're sturdy, but you wouldn't want to be too hard on them... Hey for the price, it's good to go!

This kit worked fine the first few times it was used. Things changed quickly after that. Two weeks after purchase, both light bulbs malfunctioned. I contacted the seller for two replacement bulbs. They sent only one replacement bulb, and did not return any further emails.

The light stands are very cheaply made. The parts do not fit together correctly and I can no longer thread any bulbs into the light stands - neither the originals or any replacements work. Thus, the light stands do not work at all. The tent itself is wobbly and the fabric is horribly wrinkled.

The money I thought I saved by purchasing this set is not worth the time wasted trying to get it to work. I don't think I've ever felt so ripped off from a purchase as I do about buying this hunk of junk.

I bought this kit for product photos for a retail store and dont think i could be any happier.

1. The tent... the size is more than sufficient for most products i will have to take, and can easily fit in the tent with room to spare, and it easily folds away for storage (comes with a case too!). also, there are little tabs on the inside for tying up nylon, so u can suspend the items. haven't tried this out yet, but im sure i will.

2. the backdrops... the kit includes both a white and black "velvet feel" backdrop. not much to say, except im very satisfied here, since all i need are the white and the black.

3. the lights... i cant say i know a hell of a lot about lighting and photos, but i can say that these lights have GREATLY improved the quality of the shots ive been taking.

4. the tripod for the lights... very sturdy and portable.

5. the price... all that for a price that i think is really affordable for what you get.

SO all in all, im extremely satisfied with the product - we will see how it holds up over time -

but for now, i would definitely recommend it to others.

I bought this studio set after some research. But I am quite disappointed. After two week, two turn-on keys for the lamp did not work. When I get the lamps, the lamp shade is a little out of the shape.

I am still expecting the basic solid functionality at this price. This is not a hard science, which can be made robust.

This product is even better than I expected! The tent is extremely well made and collapses down to fit a flat little circle pouch. The lights are adjustable and quite sturdy. Then to top it all off, the carrying case is durable and extremely well-made. I read the reviews on the cheaper products, and I'm so glad I spend a few more dollars for this one. This company works well with Amazon and I was able to compare many different products to make my decision.

Both lights blew out within 30 seconds of first time use.

Came with grey/blue backdrop when asked for a black/white backdrop.

All in all, useless.
