4.0 out of 5 stars They sure beat paper fasteners!
These clamps, although I think a better word would be clips (you can't adjust the pressure on these) will hold most any two objects in a photo studio that need holding together. They would also make good tools for finger fitness as opening and closing them slowly will build up your hand muscles. Don't let the poor photo fool you. These clamps (clips) are very sturdy and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice heavy clips
Great photography clips. They are made very well, but have a toxic odor when the arrive. We use them to hold reflectors and other items in place when we are shooting. The black color is great to keep them hidden and prevents them from reflecting any light back into the shot.

These are good sturdy clips and they open wide so easy to clip on your backdrop stand.

They are exactly what I needed and are in my 'must have' bin. They hold the back drop cloth to the frame nice and snug.

As with other reviewers, I also found these to have a strong chemical smell. The rubber pads will sometimes fall off which makes
it hard to hold the backdrop. Other than that they work great, and seem to be of good quality.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very strong chemical smell., May 16, 2010

I am using these clamps to smooth a muslin background. The clamps are extremely strong and hold the fabric well.

But the pads are made of some sort of petroleum product, and they stink to high heaven. I thought, OK, after they've been in use for a few days, they won't smell anymore. Wrong. Admittedly, it has only been 3 days, but I am still having to keep every window in my apartment wide open to keep from being asphyxiated by some unknown chemical these clamps are exuding.

I am looking around for clamps that work as superbly well as these but do not stink.

These clamps are very strong and will hold almost anything together. I use them to relieve wrinkles in backgrounds. I would recommend to anyone doing photography as more than a hobby.
