Product Description

The HumanTouch PC-075 with Folding Footrest has been inspired by the Neutral Body Posture studied by NASA during the SkyLab program. The PC-075 recliner places the body in a virtually weightless position. In this physician-recommended posture, the spine, hip, and knee joints are on or close to the balanced midpoint of the muscles. This results in natural relaxation and minimum muscle tension. The Human Touch PC-075 PerfectChairTM gives your neck and back a much-needed breather and allows the body to restore its natural balance. The power recline will bring you into a weightless and relaxing position in under 15 seconds. This PC-75 PerfectChairTM is also equally impressive on the eyes. With its four color choices of luxurious leather upholstery, walnut finish base, tapered footrest and sleek silhouette, this amazing chair fits your physique, conscience and design sense perfectly. The zero gravity position cradles your back and elevates your legs above your heart, which is the position that doctors recommend as the healthiest way to sit. Easy ingress and egress are achieved with the extended range of motion in the upright position. Exclusive Features Patented OrthonomicTM body frame with built-in lumbar curve. Extra wide legrest provides maximum comfort. The hand carved and finished base is pleasing to the eye, and constructed for years of use. The brake control system is easy to use and extremely reliable. Wedge-shaped, adjustable headrest cushion provides comfort for your head and neck. The adjustable headrest feature allows you to customize the optimum angle of comfort to maximize neck support while reading or watching television (Available on NEW and select Refurbished Chairs). Exclusive guide rail system for smooth recline motion and position control.

I've had one of these chairs for a few years... It's very comfortable, HOWEVER, I have had multiple problems with the electric switch not working... have had to replace it a few times (3) but now the company is no longer selling replacement parts.

Would be a great chair if I could fix it ... but as it is now... It's completely unusable - once the switch dies (as it has done many times), you can't move the chair position at all... i actually have to throw this chair in the trash (literally).

My husband was going to try to get some parts aftermarket (basically find some other replacement electronic parts) but the Human Touch company's customer service is HORRIBLE and wouldn't let him know voltage the motor runs at... When you ask about replacement parts, they just say "Sorry ... We don't sell those replacement parts any more".

nice.

1) you have the money and the willingness to replace this every six months if you use it daily and/or 2) you are willing to risk bodily harm if it fails in the reclined position. Of note, I did not buy my chair from this seller, so this is no reflection on this seller. I have a bad back and bought the electric version because I do not have the muscle strength for the manual recline version. I sort of loved my chair for the six months of use yielded by the electric motor. I loved it despite the fact that I am short (5'3") and it did not fit me as well as it could have. Mine is the full size version and I believe they have since come out with one version for shorter stature folks. However, after only six months of use, about four times a week, the motor gave out. The warranty did not cover this because the chair was over a year old (it had sat unused in the spare bedroom for a few months). When the motor gave out, I was in the fully reclined position. There is no emergency release. I am over 65 with a bad back and neck. I had to figure out how to get out of the chair without causing major damage to my neck and back. I now have a fully reclined chair to deal with and will have to hire someone to help me with this (despite claims on the human touch web site that their chairs are self repair friendly). Human Touch customer service is terrible and essentially one has to pay to completely replace the motor (hugely expensive) or buy a new chair. For me, and most others, this is way too expensive of an item to be this fragile. Buyer beware.
