Poor editing anf proofing of content., May 3, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: PC Architecture from Assembly Language to C (Hardcover)
This book has numerous errors and is poorly organized. The software that comes supplied with the book does not work on many computers and the publisher is unresponsive when the problems have been brought to their attention. This book was definitely rushed to press. It is quite a shame that this book with such a high price tag was ever published.

Don't Waste Your Time or Your Money, May 15, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: PC Architecture from Assembly Language to C (Hardcover)
Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time or your money. To answer the question "Why is this book so expensive?" I will tell you from first hand knowledge that this book is being used at a certain educational institution where the author resides and teaches. This is how someone can be somewhat successful at selling 282 pages of errors bound in a cover for $110. If your lucky enough to have the answer key to the questions at the end of each chapter your in for another disappoinment. Over 90% of the answers are wrong especially any of the questions dealing with code. After fixing the problems with the wrong answers I soon learned that the professor was marking my right answers wrong because he/she was going straight from the answer key. This is just a quick word of advice to anyone who even thinks about using this book as an educational text.
