3.0 out of 5 stars A mixed review for a limited-application product, November 5, 2000

This review is from: PC Concepts Express Pro Remote Infrared Wireless Keyboard Notebook Format (Personal Computers)
Compared to some of the other wireless keyboards on the market, the PC Concepts version is one of the most affordable. It is a compact, soft-touch keyboard formatted in the notebook style, and I have found all of these characteristics favorable. As far as quality is concerned, it probably depends on the application you are hoping to use it for. I bought the product for use as an auxillary keyboard for my notebook conputer, which I work off of 8-5 each day. This keyboard (with a USB adaptor)will provide a more ergonomical notebook set-up, but with reduced reliability. Since I am using the receiver at such a short range--with both the keyboard and receiver on my desk--I have had occasional problems with feedback and a key continuing to "type" even though there is no pressure on the keyboard--a problem that can only be resolved by unplugging the receiver and heading back to the notebook's built-in keyboard. This product is probably best for those who would use it for presentations or other applications where long-range remote control is needed.
