We got a surprise rainfall after the first application so I did a second one. The rotted wood definitely firmed up, but I would describe it as more brittle than hard. Regardless of the semantics, the firmer condition allowed me to fill the area and paint over it.
Overall I am happy with this product. The large container makes this a pretty good deal since I saw an 8 ounce container locally for almost the same price.

I'm using this to coat my paper beads, and it works great. The fumes are a bit much, so I use a filter while using it. It makes them waterproof rather than just water resistant.Published 11 days ago by niterider47
Used to stop rotten wood from flaking off the side of a board. Worked surprisingly well! Did not expect such good results. Read morePublished 20 days ago by mattie sawle
Have not used yet but looking forward to helping some rot areas of my trailer when there is not 2 feet of snow.Published 24 days ago by Greg Coffey
This stuff really works. I was amazed. I applied it to rotted home siding after I cleaned of the big part of the rot and the surrounding paint. Read morePublished 1 month ago by James Aiello Jr.
This stuff is a good thing to have before applying epoxy or filler of any kind. It goes on and sinks right into the wood.Published 1 month ago by BetsyRoss
Actually works quite well. Have used it on an outside deck before painting, and also on a mailbox post that had a annual problem with wood-boring carpenter bees. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Mountain Bill
