This product worked exceptionally well and I would recommend it to anyone for a comparable job. Used on an outside door jam that had deteriorated due to weather. The product hardened the wood, which allowed us to sand it down and re-paint, thus saving replacing the door frame. I plan to use it on other problem areas where the wood has rotted. It was easy to mix, apply and use. A really great product.

It's easy to apply on a horizontal surface, not so easy on a vertical one. This is because it's fairly runny, even if you let it sit in the bottle for ten minutes after mixing. I thought it would be more of a gel. On a flat surface, it spreads out and fills in cracks nicely. On a vertical surface, it tends to just drip off. We'll see about durability.

This product works very well - exactly as advertised. If you have a situation where a board is slightly rotted, this product will save you from having to replace entire sections of your remodel project. I replaced a front door, where joist had some surface rot (due to leaks in the door framing - which was the reason for my replacing it!). I reinforced the joist with another 2x10 along it's back, but wanted to ensure the surface rot was terminated. I drilled several holes along the board so the product could penetrate and let it dry for several days. It worked great. Board is now solid as a rock - as well as having built in moisture resistance.

I used this product to fix some rot in pressure treated landscape timbers. Suggest that you mix saw dust with this epoxy - the saw dust gets encapsulated with the epoxy (so it does not rot) - but helps increase the volume so you use less of the material. Product hardened up and looks great.

Have now used this for two major repairs. One was to harden the wood on the bases of two structural columns supporting the roof of a front porch, the other was hardening wood on a deep sill of a porthole window in which much of the bottom 20% of the sill had rotted. Much of the wood for both projects was in such bad shape that it sounded hollow when tapped. I drilled multiple holes to permit the Rot Terminator to penetrate those areas. It soaked up amount far greater than the volume needed for the space left by the drilled holes alone. What was interesting was that the amount soaked up differed depending on how close the hole was to solid wood, suggesting that it does, as advertised, penetrate the surrounding areas of softened, rotted wood. Both repairs required filling afterwards with large amounts of putty (I used PC Woody, and it was rock-solid when finished). Using the PC products literally saved us thousands of dollars, as the other alternative was to replace both columns and to order and have installed a custom sill for the porthole window. I can't recommend their products highly enough. A very nice bonus was their customer service department. They spent a great deal of time making sure I understood how to use the products, and why I would choose one over the other. Customer service at its best, and faced with more than one choice I now opt for PC Products whenever possible (I've been pleased with the performance of all the ones I've tried). As for the person who said it didn't harden his wood, it seems to me there are only two possibilities - either he mixed the two parts in wrong proportions, or he wrote his review before the wood had time to harden (depending on the amount used and the weather conditions, I found at times it didn't fully harden for a couple of days)

Used on rotten corners of an old porch, and it worked marvelously. A bit messy to use in an 'overhead' situation, but did the trick

The product worked as advertised. Directions were clear and the mixing bottle made it easy to use. I found it worked best to squirt the mixed product into a paper bowl and then apply it with a paint brush, wearing latex gloves. Note that I applied Copper Green solution to areas first and then applied this product several days later. This work was done several weeks ago so time will tell how well it terminated the dry rot. The area treated was at the bottom of redwood railing posts that would be extremely difficult to replace so a perfect example of when and where to use this product. Several Joists, and all rim boards and fascia boards were replaced with new lumber so if this product works as advertised, the dry rot should be held off for a long time.

I had a 4x4 floor joist that landed directly under a sliding glass door. Anytime I went to open the door, the floor would flex and creak badly. I cut open the wooden subfloor and found significant dry rot due to water penetration. Since the dry rot was localized to just this area, I decided to use this instead of tearing out the entire floor. After application and curing, I walked over to the door opening. No flex and no creaks! The area is solid as a rock. Added structural integrity, in addition to termite and dry rot proofing. What more could I ask for?
