This review is from: PCC--from coast to coast (Interurbans special) (Hardcover)
I am a railfun in JAPAN. My interest is focused to history of technology in the field of electric railcars.
The book I purchased is titled as "PCC, from coast to coast". Original meaning of "PCC" is "President's Conference Committee". But ordinary the name PCC is recognaized as the street car model with copletely new technology developed by the
committee of presidents of electric raiload companies in USA in 1930s. This development was successful. PCC cars were purchased by many railroad companies in the world.
This book explains PCC cars of many cities, not only in USA but also in Continent of America, West snd East Europe and Asia. Especially the Information of PCC
cars in East Europe and Asia is valuable.
