I bought this book through AACN to study for the PCCN exam. I found several mistakes and emailed AACN about them. They verified there were mistakes and they also contacted the publisher. They have gotten enough feedback about the mistakes that they are going to be revising and reprinting the book. So, if you have any concern at all about some of the questions, I would turn to other sources for verification.

Since I study best using questions than reading an entire text book, this review book and CD are the best.

I am currently preparing for the PCCN Certification Exam. I feel this book is the most helpful review tool I have found to date. I have purchased review books in the past. What makes this one different is it is all questions covering every system. And it has two full tests and a computer CD with it as well.I recommend this purchase.

I was a great use for me to study for the PCCN exam. The only important item missing was the necessary review of the types of MI's and the circulatory system of the heart. I did think it helped me in passing the test.

A lot of the question topics reviewed in the book are no longer on the blueprint for the exam..burns, transplant etc. I used the books put out by the AACN and found them far more helpful...I mean they are the ones who right the test after all. I also disagreed with some of the explanations. Glad I used this in the library and didn't buy it.

Enough of the questions were confusing, had typographical errors, or specious reasoning behind the answers that the book became frustrating to use. I presented a few of the questions from the book to a couple of critical care educators that I know, and they agree that this book can make studying for the PCCN more confusing, not less.

This book is awesome!!! Even better, when I had questions about the content, I was able to go to the authors directly via e-mail and they answered all my questions. To top it all off, this book helped me pass the PCCN Exam!

I used this book as a supplement to some other study sources. I found all the test questions very helpful and thought provoking. They were more advanced than what I encountered on the actual PCCN exam, so that made the exam easier. However, I will say that a few of the answers were incorrect.

This is an excellent book. The author was very responsive to a few questions I had. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to pass this test.

I was looking for a book with just questions. This book was perfect...lots of questions. I can't just study from outlines, handouts, and videos. So the book and CD was helpful to just sit down and take questions. I like the CD because I could just practice sitting down and taking as few or as many questions as I wanted. Which I think is perfect to prepare for the test. Especially if you haven't taken a computer test in awhile. There were a few answers that were not explained well, but I just looked it up on the internet. Overall, I fill I am being prepared. I will be taking the test in 2 months.
