As engineer - this handbook will show you practical design experience (from tiltup to prestress precast concrete connection and etc). University classes will typically not teach that subject. So for young engineer - just like myself - BUY ONE - you will not regret it. The price a bit high but you might get it directly from PCI

This book is indeed a "Bible" to Engineers who are involved with the design of precast and prestressed concrete structures. this book is presented very well and covers almost all aspects of design of such structures. However, it should be noted that this book is primarily intended for Structural Engineers. Of course, sometime you may need to refer to other more specialized books in order to perform a design. But this book is more than adequate for general precast/prestressed design. I am giving this book a 5-star rating because this book is essential to a designer (as a standard code book), plus because of the added advantage of usability (unlike many code books)!

Original book damaged via USPS (Left in rain). Replaced with new at no charge. I couldn't be happier with the end product!!!!!!!!
