From what I experienced, the miner will crash every hour or so.

The product is well made wished it was a little more flexible but over all very good will be doing speed test soon and will update accordingly.

Good riser, the cable is pretty stiff and i wish it was a little longer, but it fits snug on both ends and works without any problems.

The riser from this particular vendor has poor assembly quality, which leads to constant hardware error while mining. From what I experienced, the miner will crash every hour or so.

A well designed riser should be impedance matched and shielded. They are typically $100. While we don't have that amount money for mining, so we go with these cheap ones. Some of these cheap risers work OK, if they are assembled/soldered reasonably.

The one from this seller is poorly soldered. you cannot use it for mining purposes. As for other purposes, I doubt the card can work stably without crashing.

PS. By remove this riser and connect my GPU directly to my motherboard solved crashing problem. So I am sure it is this riser that causing crash.

If you see things like *your graphics card won't run as well*, think again. Hooked up my HD 7770 2Gb up to TWO of these into my pci-e x16 slot, and not a difference. Same thing with my GTX 460. Again, if you need to move your card somewhere else, this is totally worth it. only downside is the lack of a clip, and the force required to insert it. I recommend pushing using the corners.

I had a ultraslim line computer I managed to acquire for cheap. It was having integrated graphics problems trying to run Vista and couldn't handle Windows 7, so I decided I needed a graphics card in there. The problem was, the console came with a pci riser instead of a pci express riser for the pci express slot. Buying the official riser was around $30 and I just didn't want to fork over that kind of cash. Buying a PCI graphics card costs about $70 and would have functioned worse than any pci express card for half that price.

I removed the old riser, using the hardware in conjunction with this product, and I am impressed. It plugged in easy enough. The cable is fairly thick and stiff, so it doesn't give the cheap feeling that a lot of these kind of products do, although the blue you see in the picture is exactly what it looks like, some blue tape wrapped around the base.

I had to do some finagling on the side that plugs into the card. The cable has a rather large chunk of space required to plug into the card side and it "barely" gave me enough room to fit it in. If I did it again I might have chosen an adapter with a "turn" base so that things fit a little smoother. I'll take a star for that.

However, it did fit and it does work well. I had feared lead problems and issues with it claiming the graphics card was not plugged in, I experienced none of that. It worked as perfectly as one of these should work and my graphics card has been working great ever since.

I plugged this riser into a setup that had been running fine for weeks without issue. When I powered on the power supply, there were sparks and a few popping noises. Smoke began to rise from the end of the riser that was attached to my video card. I immediately turned off the power, but the damage was done. Luckily, my high end video card was fine, but my motherboard could not be salvaged. The seller (Urban Source) informed me that they would gladly refund the $25 riser, but they could not do anything about my $100 motherboard. The quality of risers on the market right now seems to be sub-par due to the high demand. I would advise being very careful who you buy from and what brand it is. I have decided to abandon risers all together and figure out a different way to keep my cards cool.

I have a compact computer which made it impossible to fit a graphics card in without getting a new case. I just used this to plug it in and I have had no issues. Sure the graphics card sits outside the computer, but it gets more ventilation that way.

This product worked as described so long as it was used without making any turns or bends in the the cable. I ordered 2 cables and neither worked once I had to try and bend the cables for rearranging my config. As long as you only want to extend your card upwards, these are great but I hope you have better luck than I if you want to move a card to the side.

This riser cable works perfectly for low profile or alternative mounting. Since the are 2 rows of ribbon cable it takes a little more effort to bend. You can almost mold it to your liking and put a zip tie on it to retain the curve or bend.

I would highly suggest to NOT get this cable, for whatever you hold dear.

It is poorly made; don't trust whoever says that it is well made...under the blue tape, you can see horrible solder points; most of them are not consistent and too close together (take apart a well made ribbon cable not crimped, and you will see the difference).

I have installed this one today; the computer won't even boot to POST, and give me BIOS memory warnings. Removing the cable fix the issue (and my computer is running in this config, with these ram, video and everything else since 2012).

I tried to re-position the cable, and sometimes it boot, but then in windows you get continuous crash of the video drivers, to the point where the whole OS just sit and cry, and you have to reboot.
Which may or may not happen.

On my last attempt I just heard popping like when something is put in short circuit; video went blank and I just realized that my video card died (a 550 dollars video card). Luckily it was just a cap on the power area of the motherboard (I wish they would use fuses, but oh well); so replacing it fixed the computer; altho I am getting a new motherboard tomorrow for sure.

So if you care about your computer; check a better type of cable, that is correctly shielded and well made.
