I just got my 2nd generation iphone and wanted a skin cover and a case for it and wasn't sure what to get so i order a polycarbanate thin skin for the phone and this case and three other cases from other vendors to see which i liked best....... well i had to come back here and write a review on this one because i was able to put my protective skin on the phone and it slides easily into this case for which i am very happy..... I actually took this vendors name and item number and saved it so when i need another i will definately get this one.....the case feels plenty strong enough with a quality feel (not bad at all for a couple of bucks).

I've been using this case for two weeks now and I'm extremely happy with its functionality. The case is made from soft leather and has a clip and belt loops, so you have two options for carrying it. The cover closes magnetically. There's no need to fumble with velcro or snaps. When my iPhone is in the case, I can easily ensure that the sound is off with a quick glance. If I listen to music with earbuds, the iPhone fits in the case with the jack plugged in. There's an opening for the jack. The case holds the iPhone in place securely, but you can push it out with your finger using the slot at the bottom of the case. I would highly recommend this case!

This case is the best one I have found for the iPhone 3G with a case on the phone. I have tried this holster with a silicon case and with the polycarbonate case and both fit perfectly.

The only thing I can tell you that isn't perfect about this case is that you cannot connect your headphones while in this holster. For me that is not an issue as I am mostly concerned for carrying the phone for daily business use, but some will dislike the lack of support for the iPod features.

False advertising! I ordered this item (2 weeks ago when the had the actual picture of what you will receive up and it was $0.01 with $2.99 shipping to get around Amazon getting their cut) and it does NOT fit my iPhone3GS, with or without a silicone covering. The packaging even says it's for a Blackberry. Also, there is no loop, only a clip, and there is no magnetized closure, it's cheap velcro. I called them and was told I could get my 1 cent back, if I spent another $3 to ship it back! Don't waste your time with this item OR this seller, you WILL regret it.

This case was perfect for my 3G iPhone. It wasn't too snug so when I needed my phone quickly I didn't have fight to get it outbof it's case. I've also dropped my phone and the case fully protected it. Great product would reccommend it to anyone.

I wear it on a belt and this case is excellent. High quality, protects well, and I prefer the magnetic clip it uses to the velcro on some others.

I bought two holsters from Amazon to see which I like better for my iPhone 3G. This one has served me very well since I bought it (11/03/2008). The belt clip is VERY tight, which is really a good thing as it doesn't fall off my belt at the slightest nudge. The fake leather material is of decent quality (the holster is less than $3.00 so can't expect real leather). I'm very protective of my iPhone, so I use an "Incipio Silicrylic Case for iPhone 3G" along with this holster. Amazingly, the iPhone fits into this holster with the Incipio case on (a big plus). The flip top is magnetic, so opening it is very easy. The case is designed in a way that allows you to listen to an iPhone 3G with headphones connected while in the holster. Also, there are cut outs in the correct places for the iPhone 3G speakers so even if you don't use headphones, you'll get full sound from your iPhone 3G (not that there's much volume on the thing). Overall an amazing buy at less than $3.00.

I don't know the final verdict on whether or not magnets affect the iphone. Some people seem to think they do, some don't. I noticed none of the cases on the Apple website have magnets. But what I couldn't find, was a belt clip case that would fit a phone with a skin on it, except for this one. I didn't want to spend $50 on a case from the Apple website to find out it wouldn't work. Of course I had already ordered this case when I found out about the magnet conspiracy.

So for $7 with shipping, I decided to give this a try. But I didn't want to fry my phone with a $7 case. So I cut the magnets out and bought some 3M Velcro stickers with "permanent" adhesive. I put the velcro over the spots where the magnets were. So far they work great. I imagine they will need replacing over time.

I have an iFrogz case on my phone, and it fits in this case just fine. Snug but not too snug. I don't think the phone would fall out with the flap wide open. The clip is very secure, I don't see it falling off, but I like the security of the belt loops.

Quality seems to be good enough for this price range. This case with velcro would be perfect.

I had purchased a Marware CEO Premiere case (with the magnetic latch) direct from MarWare 6 months ago. The leather that holds the side closed came apart and the leather on the belt clip had started coming apart 5 months ago. (Marware would not replace it under their lifetime warranty)

I liked the looks of the Marware case, but hated to spend another $35 plus shipping for something that was going to last only 5-6 months. So I decided to try this case for $2.76 plus $3 shipping.

This case seems more stiff than the Marware. The leather is more "textured" (as seen in the product photo) and the sides seem to have elastic stretch spot between the leather on the side pieces as opposed to the Marware. The Marware CEO interior is a dark grey felt and this one has a tan leather (same texture as outside) interior.

My 3G is in a Griffin shell style case and fits snugly in this case with a little room to spare. The belt clip seems to firm. The magnet in this case seems larger than the Marware and holds well.

Overall I am extremely happy with the looks and the price of this product compared to the marware version.

Something is fishy here. One review said the holster fit the iPhone well even with a protective case on the iPhone. Not true! I have a slim case and it's so tight it tears the cheaply made stitching. This holster is tighter than acceptable even with just the iPhone. It's not even made for the iPhone it says Blackberry on the package. It looks just like you see in the picture. Also, someone posted that they don't know if they magnet is good for the iPhone. There is no magnet! This thing uses velcro.

I'm guessing this vendor is just trying to offload cheap merchandise and may even be load reviews for this product. It smells like gasoline (or some other oil based chemical), the leather is very thing, the lining is cheap, and the adhesive for the inside gets on the phone. Don't buy this product! If the price seems too good to be true, it's because it is! Unfortunately I bought two and it's not worth the refund to return it because shipping costs more than the product. That's for a reason.
