4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Voice Phone
I've had this phone for 2 weeks now. I love the speakerphone and the battery life. However, I wish Nokia had a dedicated on/off speakerphone button so I wouldn't have to activate the speakerphone on every call I make or receive. Don't get me wrong here: it is quite simple to activate the speakerphone. But the less buttons I need to press while I'm driving the better...

3.0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory phone
I've had mine for a little over one year now. It's held up well to abuse from throwing it around, etc., but it's showing seriously irritating signs of use now. Using the keypad is especially frustrating. Many of the buttons register two presses for every one time that I press them. I'm constantly backspacing! I'm currently shopping around for a replacement.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Voice Phone, May 22, 2005
This review is from: PCS Phone Nokia 6016i (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
I've had this phone for 2 weeks now. I love the speakerphone and the battery life. However, I wish Nokia had a dedicated on/off speakerphone button so I wouldn't have to activate the speakerphone on every call I make or receive. Don't get me wrong here: it is quite simple to activate the speakerphone. But the less buttons I need to press while I'm driving the better. Moreover, the clarity of calls is quite good on this phone in the NYC area and suburbs. This is a very simple phone to operate and I appreciate the fact that I can place a home or work address for every person in my contact list, in addition to a host of other phone numbers. The voice tags work quite well on this phone and are simple to activate. Nokia did a very good job on this phone in regard to voice dialing.

I press a lot of buttons on this phone as I call in for stock quotes during the course of the day. Once in a while the button doesn't register when I press it and I have to press it harder for it to work. Furthermore, I have already received 2 spam SMS Text messages. Part of the reason I bought this phone was because I was no longer interested in the Sprint Vision Service.

With the exception of the initial charge, be sure you do not charge this phone overnight. Nokia warns against this specifically in the manual and says that if you do this, you will reduce the phone's battery life. So, I charge it during the day for about an hour. Battery life is real good.

This is a phone for those who just want a real good voice phone without any of the multimedia or web surfing services.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great candy bar phone, August 25, 2005

A great candybar phone. Everything is pretty easy and intuitive.
I get great reception. The small and fairly cramped buttons take some getting used to, but they actually work well. My previous phone didn't have the quick on/off/options button on the top like this one--a useful addition. The speakerphone is tinny but works. My favorite phone yet.

This is a simple phone w/clear reception, great features and is simple to use. It has a built in speakerphone, is headset enabled, rapidly charges/hold a long charge, brighly lit colored screen, few dropped calls

Sprint is a great network with friendly customer service, perfect plans and coverage. By far this is the best phone and network I've experienced in the past 10yrs!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Phones Good but Sprints Plans are not, January 28, 2006
This review is from: PCS Phone Nokia 6016i (Sprint) (Wireless Phone)
I got this phone in my name for my mother not too long ago as a gift for being good to me as I'm 18 years old and have no father, so she raised me and my brother as a single mom, never been married. anyway, the phone is awesome, I have a phone thats almost exactly like it through Cellular South, ok, but the phones good, no problems with it because I've used it myself when my other phone was cut off, it's a good phone, just spray windex on a piece of clothe to clean the screen of it, try not to drop it because it does mess the keys up, but they're replaceable and cheap, and the front of the face plate can also be replaced if damaged. ok, the phones good, now on to the plans, sprints plans aren't very good, my mom was doing business with a family in Texas (we're in Mississippi) and they ran her bill up and ate up all of her minutes, she gets 450 mintues for $50, and when her bill arrived they charged her $200 long distance fees which is a complete and total rip-off, she had to down-grade her plan to $35 a month with only 350 minutes. if I had my choice I wouldn't have gotten this phone in the first place if I would have known all of these. cellular south will always be the best in my book, they may not have any fancy phones hardly or Cool Ringtones or anything like that, but their plans rock, I'm gonna warn you ahead of time though, their unlimited long-distance doesn't cover Louisiana and I don't know if Cellular South is available in any other state or not, but email them at their website www.cellularsouth.com and check, they require a huge deposit of $500 plus the phone fees and activation fees, but they're totally worth it, my phone didn't cost me very much when I got the 2-year contract plan, and they sell roaming minutes, they have great plans, so call and check them out, they have the internet too which you can buy minutes for for ringtones or whatever, lol, alright I've blabbed enough, just check them out, they're good to me as for as phone and plan-wise, they have unlimited text messaging for $7 a month too, thats a good deal, voicemails optional but it's only $5 a month. if anybodys got any other questions about Cellular South you're welcome to email me at mysterygrl2006@yahoo.com thanks for taking the time out to read such a long review, bye.
