5.0 out of 5 stars Attic Mounted Wonder
I live in the close-in suburbs of DC, but still had trouble getting decent OTA HD video and HD Radio broadcasts reliably using inside antennas. I installed this in my attic to avoid having even more things stuck to my roof (already have a couple Dish Network dishes in obvious places), and fed both my Sangean HDR-1 and my wife's small HDTV with it. The radio now locks on...

2.0 out of 5 stars Averge performance
While the specifications for this antenna indicated it received channels that included 2-13, it does not receive channels 4 or 5. Channels 7 and above have very good reception. So once again a misrepresented product. Now that it is installed I'm not going to take it down and return it, that's what they are probably counting on. Now if you do not need to receive any...

The radio now locks on stations quickly and never waivers, and the HDTV picks up about 40% more channels.

I had no surprises in the installation, except for accidentally drilling through the wall in the dining room while trying to run the cable inside a wall, and the wife hasn't noticed, which means it never happened.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Antenna, February 27, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I live about 10 miles from the HD antennas. One of them is VHF and was constantly dropping out on my little Zenith Silver Sensor.

I placed this antenna in my attic - simply lieing on the insulation - and even after removing the signal amplifier I was using before I now get 95-100 signal strength on all channels.

eyeballed the aiming and after hooking up the tv got 97-100 signal with a few trees and no hills; very good for 30 miles from tower. easy setup with minimal tools involved. very good antenna from a good name.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works for me, February 24, 2009

Live in an area surrounded by hills and large trees could not get very good reception with rabbit ears but with the antenna mounted to my chimney on a ten foot mast get all the local channels just fine and thats with a 75 foot run of rg6 coaxial cable. If I had spent a little more money and gotten a rotor I could have gotten more channels but for now I am happy with the ones I have. I am very pleased with the performence of the antenna and it was a good price.

5.0 out of 5 stars MESA ARIZONA HDTV RECEPTION EXCELENT, January 24, 2009
This review is from: PCT 3016 Channel Master Television Antenna (Electronics)
I installed this antenna as a test to see if I could eliminate Cox Cable. I live around 20 miles from the Phoenix South Mountain Antenna farm. With this antenna, I receive all analog (VHF) channels and all digital (UHF) flawlessly. There is no such thing as an HD antenna. The HD signal is broadcast on the UHF band, which has been around since 1952. I am also receiving several channels from what appears to be the San Diego area, though they are not strong enough to provide a clear picture or sound. The reception from this antenna is as good, if not better than cable. I am also driving four television sets from this one antenna without any kind of amplification. I have cancelled Cox Cable and wish I had done so months ago. This antenna is large enough to receive channel 3, but not too big to attract aliens or neighbors who might complain. It is perfect for my area and application and should easily withstand the voilent winds and storms we ocassionally get. I have installed a ground wire from the mast to a copper rod in the ground which I think a lot of people tend to skip. I could not be more pleased.

4.0 out of 5 stars Performs as needed considering the price..., May 23, 2007
I just finished installing the antenna. I get between 4-6 bars of signal, with most towers about 12 miles away. Minimal signal for me is 3 bars, so this seems to be performing adequate to my needs. I am using it for HDTV so as long as it can hold a picture on all channels, I'm satisfied. But don't expect this antenna to do miracles. As a test, I stripped 3 feet of copper wire, pointed it straight up, and attached a cable to it and I got around the same signal strength, but this antenna would obviously deliver a more stable signal than my test wire.

5.0 out of 5 stars great antenna, January 18, 2011

A nice antenna which enables me to pick up all the Baltimore stations from my Silver Spring home. This is very important when the local DC stations are showing the Deadskins game and not the Ravens! The antenna was a bit bigger than I thought it would be but is lightweight and installed easily.

So once again a misrepresented product. Now that it is installed I'm not going to take it down and return it, that's what they are probably counting on. Now if you do not need to receive any channels below 7 and are within 40 miles or so of the tranmitters this will be a economical choice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Working beautifully in my Attic, January 29, 2012

I was worried about the radiant barrier (aluminum) built into the attic but it works beautifully! Round Rock, Texas. No signal strength meter on the TV so I can't say how much improvement the antenna contributes . . .

We don't have a ton of stations here in Kansas City, but the ones we do have come in clear and much sharper then they did when we viewed them on cable. Even our analog TVs look sharper. We hung this in the attic and hooked it up to the existing coax network running throughout the house and now every TV has access to this signal from this antenna. We've cut cable and are saving over $100 per month because of this purchase.
