The ladder exceeded my expectations. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent. The installation was not too hard and made for a good weekend project. I debated buying a less expensive ladder but I feel more confident knowing that my kids have a secure and safe way out and were able to actually practice their escape plans as opposed to just writting them on paper. I have Pearl installed in my upstairs bedroom window and certainly feel safer for it. I see too many stories about people being trapped in upstairs bedrooms and the subsequent deaths. What a tragic waste for such a small investment -- one that will always be there for the safety and peace of mind it provides. Why isn't this in all homes like smoke alarms are? I love the fact that it installs inside the wall so that I know it is always there if and when I need it. I got rid of my temporary ladder that I had kept in a closet in the box. EVERYONE BUY THIS, IT's FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought the Pearl based on the advise of a firefighter. Installation was quick and fairly simple. Total installation time was about 1 hour and that included caulking and testing. I am very satisfied with it and it gives me a peace of mind knowing I can use it to have the kids practice and then just repack it. Alot of the other products are one time use only and I want my kids to feel comfortable using this ladder before there is an emergency.

The people at Pearl Protected have a tremendous product that should be in every home.I installed 2 in my home. With the easy step by step instructions it took less than 2 hours for both.Those chain ladders in your closet or under your bed just aren't as effective as a ladder mounted in the wall under the window ready in case of emergency.What's more important a new Playstation or your childs life? Well worth the investment and at a good price too.
