I have had XBox for just over a year and have been impressed. The controllers were one of my favorite parts and this Pelican does not disappoint.

I have owned the Pelican Spirit wireless controller and was angered by the poor quality. I got this shortly after, having seen better reviews and here is my assessment of the controller overall:

Ergonomics: Excellent - the XBox contoller-S is perfect for me and this is very nearly the same thing

Lag: Excellent - nearly none whatsoever - 2.4 ghz transmitter ensures this

Functionality: Very Good - buttons are placed almost exactly the same - added white/black buttons are a bit superfluous and hard to reach though for smaller hands. Dual rumble packs are pretty good, but not as strong as the controller-s

Craftsmanship: Excellent - very well made - I have dropped it a few times with no problems whatsoever (had a problem with this with the Spirit)

Connection: Excellent - even with things in the way, the connection stays strong - auto frequency hopping keeps a strong signal for a good distance

Battery Life: Very Good - as with all wireless controllers, the battery life is by no means spectacular, but surpasses my other wireless controllers. have yet to change batteries


Overall: Excellent - for only $30, this is one of the least expensive wireless controllers. It's a well-made controller that serves its function very well. For the money, it's the best controller I've seen yet.

I had seen reviews of apparently the PL-2050's forerunner and they were very poor. (Both the reviews and apparently the product too) But, the PL-2050 is a very nice controller. It feels a lot like the stock xbox controller, in both quality and function. I think I like the button location better on the PL-2050 than the stock controller and there is no noticeable lag Vs the wired controller.

The only "con" I can come up with for the PL-2050 is that I wish the RF receiver had a slightly longer cord. But, that is a very minor complaint.

I am tempted to get a second PL-2050 so my 1 year daughter will not have any cords to pull on. :-)

For the $ you can not beat this controller for a wireless controller.

After having another, close to the same controller I wanted to add another wireless controller as I got sick of the cords. While the shape, buttons and such are great and easy to use, this controller DOES NOT have a sleep function like my other controller does! Because of this, the batteries are ALWAYS dead, so I have to keep an extra set charged before I am able to use this controller. With my other controller, I can get several hours a day for several days use over several weeks with out needing to recharge the batteries. With this controller, I either have to take the batteries out after every use, or swap them out with freshly charged batteries before I can play. If I happen to forget to charge them before I want to play, I'm out of luck unless I want to play a single player game.

After having both kinds of controllers, having one with a sleep mode seems like a must for any gamer, and sadly this one does not have that option, which is why I am only giving it 3 stars.

I've had two of these controllers for around two years now, never had any problems, and they operate perfectly! The range is awesome, the feel is awesome, and they just work well! The only complaint that I have though is the buttons can be hard to press sometimes, but once it's broken in, you get over it. For the price, how could you not beat it? Especially since mine have never broken nor had any problems. =]

Piece of junk! Some of the controller buttons like the, A, X, B, and Y buttons you have to press hard to play. Also the thumb pad rubbers are coming off just after one month. Piece of junk! But at least it feels good in my hands. But still it's a piece of junk!

I don't care what those other people said.They break in a few days!!!!And if you don't listen,then fine waste you'r money on a piece of crap like that.But you where warned.
