Compact but wide enough for long dishes for fish.
Smart One-Touch Sensors for specific cooking. Express buttons for cooking with multiple minutes and half minutes. Switchable carousel. Great styling.

limited cabinet dimensions forced us to purchase the GE PEM31DM3BB at a relatively high price for the size. Performance was admirable BUT the latest purchase failed in precisely 2 years to the day! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL. NOT WORTH THE PREMIUM PRICE

Purchased new to fit custom cabinet space and lasted only 14 months...dead magnetron,. Repair will cost more than original price...What's wrong with that picture?? Need a spacemaker type microwave but won't be going the GE route again.

13 months later........it's dead,

I purchased a GE Spacemaker microwave from Home Depot just over a year ago. It fit the space, it was powerful, and it worked perfectly......right up until it died this morning. Cause of death: a dead magnetron. Doing a quick check on the internet, I found lots of complaints about the short life of GE magnetrons and I confirm my fear that replacing a magnetron costs more does to buy a new microwave. While this might be a great strategy for stimulating the economy, it doesn't stimulate me to purchase another GE. I have a new Panasonic on the way from Amazon that will be here tomorrow. Thank you Amazon!
PS. One star, because I can't give it a zero! |
