1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible January 8, 2012
It is ridiculous that you must have a paper subscription in order to get People on Kindle! If I had a paper subscription then why would I buy it for Kindle! No need for both. Big disappointment and too bad for People because now I will just buy a different magazine so their loss!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Electronic vs Paper Subscriptions December 30, 2011
I agree with the commenter who requested a Fire- (or tablet-) only version of this magazine. I'm not a print subscriber, and have absolutely no intention of ever subscribing to receive the hard-copy magazine, but I'd be very interested in subscribing through my Kindle Fire for an electronic-only version. People Magazine is a fun, light publication, the magazine equivalent of popcorn; I don't need or want the paper cluttering the house as I'm unlikely ever to refer back to archived issue -- it'd be a perfect candidate for electronic reading.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Disappointed December 30, 2011
Verified Purchase
I subscribed to People Mag so I could easily access and read it from my Kindle Fire. I downloaded my first copy without hesitation or trouble and loved it - especially its interactive components! I have been trying to download and install the next issue for over an hour now, with no luck. the app continues to freeze and force close. Installation gets to anywhere between 5 and 22 per cent and just stops. If this problem is not fixed, I will have to cancel my subscribtion.

it is some kind of greedy fear-based corporate sleazy boardroom-scheming motivation (either on Amazons behalf or the companies that own the publications) that keeps customers from being able to buy just this version of the magazine, without having to also be a print subscriber. I mean what other explanation could there be? its really driving people crazy and ruining the kindle fire experience. we don't want stacks of magazines in our house when we already paid 200 for a device that is supposed to conveniently eliminate that! can the suits pleeease get their heads out of their arses on this? they make a great device and great content and then render it useless. reminds me of the early days of the Internet when AOL tried to charge by the hour for dialup. fast-forward 15 years and that company has disappeared in terms of relevance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless December 30, 2011

This APP is useless. You have to buy the paper magazine to read on your kindle. I thought we were trying to be a more clutter free world.

1.0 out of 5 stars A FREE APP turns out to be anything but FREE.
This icon APP gets you to the list of articles in each issue, BUT then, to read an article, you must pay. So much for this being a FREE APP.

I don't like People magazine. It is full of gossip and just like other rag magazines. It used to be all about stories written about us little people.
