I love pepid. It has one of the biggest medical databases I've seen. The app is free but you need a subsciption to use. To my knowledge it works on most Android devices, 4 stars because the iphone version is a little more polished.

Requires a subscription to one of their suites, which are very expensive. The free toxicology report tool is nice, but without a subscription that's all you get.

I have a paid subscription to Pepid purchased directly from Pepid. I also have a paid subscription to ePocrates. I "use" both of them as each has gaps in the knowledge base the the other usually covers. I run both apps on an iPad.

Unfortunately, it turns out that this Pepid app has a fatal flaw. if you are running on an iPad (perhaps an iPhone as well?), if memory is nearly full, it will delete the app. Reloading is a time-consuming pain. ePocrates has proved to be a workhorse, has always run flawlessly and, yes, it is not perfect-- but what medical app is?

Worse than the software flaw, is the lack of support from Pepid. It is nearly impossible to get a reasoned answer from them either by phone or by email. I intend to ask my credit card company to refund the purchase.

Until this fatal flaw is fixed, I recommend one stay away from Pepid. When fixed it should be a useful app.

UPDATE 2/13/15: Pepid fixed this major flaw about 3 months ago. It has worked flawlessly since on my iPad. I would now give it a 4 star rating. Why not 5 star? Because it lacks certain data which is so obvious to a provider. But as I said above, ePocrates is no different and I would rate it the same 4 star. Working with both, the synergistic effect would give the tandem a 5 star insofar as an everyday data base. Well worth the investment at this point.

Well I thought it was really awesome at first, then I realized you have to pay.
And pay alot!!
No thanks!
I uninstalled it immediately, and deleted it from my Amazon list too.
Unfortunately, it left 5/6 folders on my internal SD card, and I'm not happy about that.

This an ok app for EM clinical practice, as a customer for over 7 years , they would not provide any additional discount other than the standard ACEP discount. Pretty disappointing for customer service.

This application was not what it was dscribed to be. I played with it for a few days and then deleted it from my Kindle Fire.

I did not realize that each type of medical info had to be purchased. This was not the app that I thought it would be.

I can't give that great of a review for this app only because I downloaded it not knowing that you had to have an account to use it. I like it when apps are straight forward about that kinda stuff. At least I didn't waste any money on it.

Was never able to get this to work on my kindle. A very frustrating experience at the least. Was looking forward to it too.
