This magazine is loaded with ways that you can reach out to the animals of our world and find a way to help them. Never say "I am only one person--what can one person do?" PETA can show you ways to do even the smallest of things to protect the animals. Although I don't necessarily agree with everything that I read, I was very motivated to find even more ways to do my share in any way that I can. I have always been a great animal lover and fought against injustices toward animals, so this was a good choice for me.

I received my issue to find it is a PR product for the organization not a magazine. Guess I should have known when it was so cheap. Seems such a waste of good paper!

I didn't order it through Amazon, it was given to me as a gift by a well meaning but oblivious friend. Even if I did like or even find PETA tolerable, the mag is just horrible. Half truths and complete lies populate most of the pages and what ISN'T pure shinola is propaganda or begging for dollars.

There are all sorts of sane, helpful pro-animal publications. This one, is not among them. If you are a card carrying PETA member, who shows up naked at the rallies and is all for bludgeoning anyone wearing fur or eating meat...lets face it you already get this mag at the meetings.

For everybody else, you are about to pay THEM to drop the psychotic animal rights version of the watchtower in your mailbox. Much like the watchtower, if you are Jehovah, it is a very good thing, if however you are NOT...

This is a fantastic magazine for the little bit of money it costs. But more important... this will open your eyes as to what is going on in the animal world and the wonderful inspiring people who are making a huge effort to stop animal cruelty. I highly recommend supporting this cause !!

Since 1998, PETA has killed over 20,000 animals.

In 2006, an official report from People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) shows that they took in 3,043 animals, of which 1,960 were cats, 1,030 were dogs, 52 were other companion animals, and one was a chicken. Of these, they killed the chicken, killed 1,942 cats, 988 dogs, and 50 classified as "other companion animals." They found homes for only 2 cats, 8 dogs and 2 of the other companion animals.

By the numbers:

* PETA killed 1,942 of the 1,960 cats, finding homes for only 2.

* PETA killed 988 of the 1,030 dogs finding homes for only 8.

* PETA killed 50 of the 52 other companion animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.), finding homes for only 2.

* PETA killed the chicken they took in.

2007 numbers show a 91% rate of killing--the killing of 1,815 of the 1,997 animals they impounded.

2008 figures: The needless, senseless, evil slaughter--continues with an equally staggering 96% kill rate. A paltry seven dogs and cats were adopted. A paltry 34 were transferred to an SPCA whose fates are not known. And out of 2,216 dogs and cats impounded, the rest were systematically put to death by PETA.

Killed: 555 of the 584 dogs.

Killed: 1,569 of the 1,589 cats.

In 2009, 2010, and so far in 2011, things have remained the same: PETA MURDERS PETS. They tell kill 'shelters' to murder THEIR pets.

PETA are enemies of animals, not friends.

So much for "ethics".

Go on PETA supporters...mark this review as "unhelpful". The truth hurts, and as long as you support PETA, you support the murder of innocent four legged souls, who deserve to live, love, and to be loved, equally as much as You and I.

So, PETA supporters...who's side are you on?

Think long and hard before you answer that, because it will mean the difference bewteen life or death for the animals who you *claim* to care about.

Prove that you care about animals, by telling PETA: "No more donations, until you become a No Kill group, with no excuses. I will not support you until the killing stops."

Although I put this order 9 months ago, in hopes that my Father would receive it by his B-Day July 2010, it never cam to his house. I had written many times in reguards to this circumstance & nothing was never completed so that this subscription would be delivered to my Fathers house. Therefore, I can not give this magazine any reviews.

Although not everybody agrees with everything PETA does, most people can agree with the overall goal of animal rights (or at the very minimum animal welfare). This is great for anybody who cares about animals! Even better to get into the hands of people who don't like animals!

I ordered a subscription for one year. I just got a notice that it's expiring. I ONLY GOT ONE ISSUE.

I love this magazine! I wish the magazine came more than four times a year.

Peta routinely kills animals.

There ONLY objective is for there to be NO pets...NONE...ZERO

So, you may think this is a good organization, but, seriously, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. They have always only had one objective.

Supporting PETA is wrong...unless you are an animal hater, in which case, this is the perfect organization for you.

Google Peta and see what they've done...don't take my word for it...educate yourself...don't fall in to the 'entertainment support' trap.
