For the price, this software is very, very basic. I like having it because I can easily see the trends of my PEF and FEV1. It has an option to overlay green, yellow and red zones over the data which I like. I've had my device for about a month now and plan to print reports to take to my doctor. If I had to write all that information down each time I used my meter, I would be much less likely to use it. The software makes it much easier to be compliant with my doctor's orders of getting (and recording) a reading every morning and evening.

In order for the software to work, you must install the driver for the meter. I accidentally skipped this step during installation so it took me a little while to get it up and running on my computer. Also, the meter has to be turned on in order for the computer to download the data. That is a minor detail, but I sometimes forget to do it....then wonder why the meter isn't synching. ;-)

Even to a computer-savvy person the instructions are too unclear to even use it. I did call customer service to explain the terms used at least--basic to doing anything at all with it--but they didn't know what they meant either.

The Peak flow meter arrived promptly and in good condition. As mentioned by others, the mouth tubes and side covers do not fit snugly; will probably have to tape for travel. Instructions were clear and detailed. Purchased software and the unit interfaces quite well. Easier to use than manual device and memory and software allows great record keeping. Recently, went on line to find larger print copy of user manual. Discovered that this is a 2004 model and has been superseded by newer models. The price is not that much less considering the design age of the model.
