This combo (CD/DVD) is more like a continuance of the original than a sequel. Once again featuring musicians around the world coming together for one purpose. This album has an exceptional track listing with covers of songs by, Bob Marley, John Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Rolling Stones and more, done with musicians and instruments found all over the globe. A perfect companion to the first and if you're not familiar with the first one do yourself a favor and order it as well.

I never have tired of watching/listening to PFC the original. Neither will I tire of PFC 2. Do not hesitate to purchase this DVD/CD...it is awesome! Thanks to the PFC foundation for the beautiful and moving music.

Support PFC by buying this CD a portion of this goes to help build music and art schools in countries across the world. Run to buy this before it is on back order and you will have to wait. While you are there, buy PFC the original too. Best money you will ever spend.

When I heard the first Playing for Change CD/DVD it blew me away. Not only was it a totally novel idea - people from all over the world playing together on the same songs - but it was also a marvel of sound engineering. Not to mention the high quality of the performances, especially considering that so many of the musicians were amateurs, street musicians mixed together with stars. So it is with grateful surprise that I can say that the reprise CD/DVD is even better than the first one.

The DVD naturally has the highest impact because we get to see the performers who are as diverse as diverse gets. The edit cuts are spectacular in that we witness the adding of new performers with the illusion of real time. The DVD creates the illusion that the entire world is playing music simultaneously which is one of the main points of the project.

I can't recommend this title more. This is "must see TV." Although this is a perfect DVD for children, it is wonderful for people of all backgrounds and all ages. I will leave the details of each song to others as my review is not intended to be music critique, but rather admiring the tremendous effort involved. If there is only one music DVD you buy this year, this is the one to buy. (BTW, you're also supporting a worthy cause - bringing music education to children that would never have access to quality education and instruments)

It's amazing how they can gather musicians around the world to create songs, with the use of technology. Simply amazing and beautiful. Love the music 'stars' in PFC, the likes of Grandpa Elliot and Roger Ridley, this is what i called a true musician.

This is a must buy album. I'm pretty sure most of us will at least enjoy the songs if not love them.

I was sent an Email of "Stand by me" and was blown away. I went to Amazon straight away to see if it was available and saw 2 albums full of this music and the peaceful vibe attached. The music is great' AND the clips of the musicians playing are superb. I have played the 2 albums to every one who comes into my home who loves music. I am really pleased I found these albums and the concept is fantastic and the idea that all profits go to musical education in Africa and around the world is remarkable.

Like PFC1, this is an inspiring CD/DVD Combo. The music is vibrant and uplifting and illustrates its wonderful unifying influence. The treatment of iconic tracks is well done and at times is very moving.

Like its predecessor, PFC-2 gives you a an uplifting visual and auditory experience. It is even better if you watch it with friends. This makes a perfect Christmas gift. This year I gave it to colleagues at work with a container of hot chocolate and a book.
