The award winning Band-in-a-Box is so easy to use! Just type in the chords to any song using standard chord symbols (like C, Fm7 or C13b9), choose the style youd like, and Band-in-a-Box does the rest. Band-in-a-Box automatically generates a complete professional quality arrangement of piano, bass, drums, guitar and strings in a wide variety of popular styles Jazz, Pop, Country, Classical, and more.
With Band-in-a-Box, you can input a typical song in just two minutes. Youll quickly build up a large library of your favorite songs!
And thats not all... Band-in-a-Box is a powerful and creative music composition tool. The program lends itself to experimentation, exploration, and rapid development of musical ideas with near-instantaneous feedback. Over the years many features have been added to Band-in-a-Box; Notation, Lyrics, Melody Tracks, Harmonization, and a programmable StyleMaker. The Soloist and the Melodist are two major "intelligent" features. The Soloist can generate professional quality solos over any chord progression. The Melodist can create songs from scratch with Chords, Melodies, Intros, Solos, melodic Embellishments, and even an original Song Title! Theres an amazing Chord Wizard that will interpret the chords in any MIDI file to create a new Band-in-a-Box arrangement of the song.
Youll have hours of fun listening to songs and playing along with Band-in-a-Box for both practice and pleasure.

The Max version does not equal the windows version.,

I bought Band-in-a-Bpx 12 for Mac. It came with several video tutorials. On disk one, "learning a tune," there is a feature called "Step movement" in which you can control the playing of chords or notes one step at a time. It is the best way to learn and listen to chord progressions or a tune. I could never get it to work on my Max, so I called the tech support and found out that the Mac version does not come with this feature. Only the windows version has it. Well, I think they should let you know you are not getting every thing they say on their ad. I wonder what else is missing that they're not telling me? Other than that, every things works well.

This is stated to be a Mac version in the title, in the platform requirements, and in the product description! Four times in all. I can't believe three computer literate people gave such an excellent software program a poor rating because THEY failed to read the description.
I have used Band In A Box since it first came out and is perfect for what it does!

Hey guys with the mac version,
I did the same thing as you but I am a mac user and accidentally ordered the windows version. When I realized it was to late to return it. Now I'm stuck with a program I can't use. If either of you still have your mac version maybe we can exchange. Let me know. Just post another comment and we can go from there.
