I was looking for a 4 cup coffee maker, with a cone filter, with a glass carafe, and if it was in red it would match the other red items in my kitchen. So I ordered this coffee maker. Not only did it meet all the criteria, it makes good coffee, takes up very little space, and is a bargain price. The only thing I wish for is an automatic shut off timer. Other than that, perfect!

Bought this in December 2012, it has finally died 6 months later. It was remarkable it lasted that long. OK, it really didn't.

My mom has a red kitchen, so she need a little red coffee pot. We had a Cuisinart DCC-450BK 4-Cup Coffeemaker with Stainless-Steel Carafe, Black (in red) before this. The reviews for it are also correct, it is garbage too. Not as bad as this one though.

This one is phenomenally bad. Unfortunately there are not many choices for red anywhere, period. So we fought with this one until June 2013, when it finally died totally. The very first use showed how this coffee pot was deficient. The plastic is so thin it warps when hot. The plastic buckles in different place every time it heats up and cools. This means that sometimes it leaks, sometimes it doesn't. Also day one showed that this pot can only make a luke-warm cup of coffee. I can't drink hot liquids. So I need an ice cube added to my cup of coffee, if it's fresh brewed. Not from this pot, I can drink it right after it is brewed.

Of course all if this is moot, because it has finally died. -Yea!

Still can't find a good red replacement though. I think I might just buy a good stainless-steel pot, then paint it red with brake-caliper paint. Might be a fun DIY to experiment with.

The title claims "switch espresso coffee maker." It's basically just your regular coffee maker. There's only one switch on the machine (on and off).

Pros:
-Small and compact (fits right under the cupboard)
-Comes with the permanent filter
-Really fast
-Easy to clean

Cons:
-No automatic shut off

*Would definitely recommend to any solo coffee drinker like myself.

looks very attractive, but useless as coffee maker: water does not get warm enough to brew adequately.
Note: i have gone thru five or six comparable coffee makers in my life! This is one is simply inadequate.
Bought another brand, same type, for just $6 more -- and what a difference!

It's small enough to meet my coffee needs, but the impact in color greatly enhances the decor of my kitchen!

When I make the coffee the coffee was cold out of the carafe, I didn't like it at all. Very cheap materials.

I would recommend this to people who don't really need a coffee pot for anything but the color to decorate there counter top with, specifically for non-coffee drinkers. It's not worth 20 bucks unless it outlasts the couple of months it takes to break down, which it will probably sooner than later. I bought it because I needed something a little less clunky that made a quick cup. It arrived and I unwrapped it from the box and nearly broke it right away just removing the cardboard. The spring fell out of the automatic stop, but luckily I figured out how to put it back together But, even though it is fragile and I am as careful as I can be, the carafe cracked after about 3 months. I don't know why, I didn't smack it against anything. It seemed to be effected by the heat from the burner. Now it is trash that will decorate the garbage bin. In fact it is the exact same model as the MaxiMatic EHC-2022 4-Cup Elite Cuisine Coffee Maker with Pause and Serve for a few dollars less, only in red. I don't know why they would call it an espresso maker. I guess if you use espresso coffee, it will do that.

I suspect the positive reviews for this product are from people who add lots of sugar and cream and gulp down their coffee just to get a caffeine fix. This cute little coffee maker might suffice if that's your thing. However, it doesn't get the water hot enough to make a really good cup of coffee. It does make coffee and it is cute, hence the two stars, but the maker should have added a good heating element. Oh, and it doesn't have an automatic shut down.
