I prepared the solution per the instructions. Then measured the PH using the ¡§free ph strips¡¨ that come with the kit. Sure enough, the test strips indicated a ph of 9-9.5. 5.0 out of 5 stars Comment on aluminum, August 22, 2008
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
We list every single trace element in pH booster (like yttrium, indium, and rhenium). There's actually more naturally occuring aluminum present in the AIR, in organic vegetables or fruits than in pH Booster. The amount of aluminum present is less than .001 parts per million.

Aluminum toxicity only occurs when your intake in the microgram category. This is from the Dept of Health & Human Services...

"Levels of aluminum in the air generally range from 0.005 to 0.18 micrograms (1 microgram, ìg, equals a millionth of a gram, 1 gram equals 0.0022 pound) of aluminum per cubic meter of air (0.005-0.18 ìg/m3), depending on location, weather conditions, and level of industrial activity in the area. Most of the aluminum in the air is in the form of small suspended particles of soil (dust). Aluminum levels in urban and industrial areas may be higher and can range from 0.4 to 8.0 ìg/m3. The amount of aluminum you breathe in a day is much less than you consume in food. You may breathe in higher levels of aluminum in dust if you live in areas where the air is dusty, where aluminum is mined or processed into aluminum metal, or near certain hazardous waste sites.

The concentration of aluminum in natural waters (e.g., ponds, lakes, streams) is generally below 0.1 milligrams/liter (mg/L) (1 milligram, mg, equals one thousandth of a gram) unless the water is very acidic. People generally consume very little aluminum from drinking water. "

As for potassium hydroxide and this comment..."a harmful and corrosive inorganic compound. It's widely used from industrial purposes to household cleaners due to its corrosive nature...." Well, conduct a google search on the following "food grade potassium hydroxide". If it was considered "harmful", then it wouldn't be used as a safe food additive.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Product Will Change Your Life, September 27, 2008
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
I just deleted my first review of this product because I found the additional information that I was looking for. I originally was skeptical about the ingredients after reading the review about concerns of aluminum and potassium chloride in Ph-ion Water Booster. However, I found scientific supported research about the benefits of drinking such alkaline water using the very ingredients in the percentages as used in Ph-ion Water Booster. I have been using the product for months and have noticed a tremendous positive health benefit, but was confused by one of the comments made here at Amazon which indicated the questionable ingredients in the product. I found out about Ph-ion in one of Kevin Trudeau's books and have been using it ever since. If anyone finds additional information about this product I would appreciate your contacting me with a comment. Until then, I will continue using this product because of its being so beneficial to me.
I hope this was helpful to all of you.

But then, I used one of the ¡§free strips¡¨ to test untreated tap water (which I know is around 6.5, in this area). Low and behold, it ALSO read 9-9.5. Seems No matter what you stick the free test strips in, if it¡¦s wet, it¡¦s gonna read around 9.5 º

1.0 out of 5 stars Corrosive & Linked With Alzheimer's Disease, August 17, 2008

This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
Aluminum in drinking water has been linked with Alzheimer's disease for nearly 40 years now. The aluminum industry has been working hard to come up with conflicting research, however one fact remains - aluminum is found in higher than normal concentrations in the brains of Alzheimer's patients. If you are at all concerned about this, then I would not recommend the pHion structuring agent, as it contains aluminum. As for the alkalizing solution, it is potassium hydroxide - a harmful and corrosive inorganic compound. It's widely used from industrial purposes to household cleaners due to its corrosive nature.
I'm really disappointed with this product and I should have learned more about its ingredients before purchasing. If you want to alkalize, I would suggest getting your greens, and avoid toxic chemistry.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tastes flat, October 12, 2008
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
I presume that this stuff works, but it makes water taste yucky. Distilled water tastes really flat to begin with, and this product makes it taste even more flat. It's not horrifying, just ughhhh, like old and stale. Plan on adding something like a couple drops of lemon juice to your glass or holding your breath when you slug it down.

2.0 out of 5 stars Snake Oil?, December 13, 2010
By
Brian (St. Louis, Missouri) - See all my reviews
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
I have to agree with one of the previous reviewers, the pH is not as advertised. I had been using a teaspoon of baking soda to increase the pH of my water and had been having very good results (pH>8), plus a clear increase in [...] pH (from 5.6 to 7.4). I didn't want all the sodium that comes with baking soda, so I thought I'd try one of the advertised alkaline additives. pHion just happened to be one that I came across early. Every which way I've tested it, the pH of my water is about 6.4 AFTER putting in the pHion (the water started at a pH of 7.2). To make matters worse, my [...]pH has lowered back down to around 6.0 since switching over to pHion. I'm confused by what this product is supposed to be doing. I thought it was supposed to raise the pH of your drinking water and make your body more alkaline. It did neither as far as I can tell.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rehydrate and Alkalize for life and wellbeing., August 15, 2011
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
I read all the reviews here. It's funny what happens when you take something for 5 years and then stumble upon and read about how and why some people like it or can't stand it.
I am one of those people who would and has used this product every day even without reading the reviews. I think it's a great product. It's not just alkalizing it rehydrates me like nothing else. Not sure why some might say it doesn't work? I do eat alkaline foods too and yet still feel i have too much acid forming food in my diet - that's everywhere you go in a western culture. I feel like my body has years of acid built up in the cells. I now know the difference between not taking this product and when I do. My body knows it too after years of testing the theory. I just feel so hydrated and clear in my mind and less toxic.
My wife hates the taste. I said it's not a taste it has softness in the water and you're not use to it. Now I cannot drink normal tap water - it tastes so hard and as if it has salts in it too. Sounds strange but that's what happens after years of drinking this water. I like the taste and the effect.
What works best for me now is to try this product with the phion super greens powder. I notice a real difference then. I can feel the alkalizing effect much more effectively than just the booster water on its own.
People are funny in the reviews I read here. My comments are - If It cost too much? Being alive cost money and most of us waste and save money every day on junk, products, alcohol and then complain something costs too much. It's a choice not a chore - what's your health worth. How many TV's can you buy. And what do you expect a wellbeing product to cost- 10 cents, a dime? Some say it doesn't work? Well it does if you drink 2-3 litres (60-80 oz) a day as recommended. Try that for a week solid and cut back if you feel better. The overabundance of acid in our body works well in being a precursor to cancer - how do you cost or test that? And as for the aluminium and other associated problems? Well, I don't know about that except to say it appears safe and it's a choice like any other - being really dehydrated, can't think properly, don't sleep well, eat sugar foods to feed the fungus growing in and on the body, have reflux and bloating, feel lethargic and tired and then get sick or cancerous from too much acid. For me its simple - either excuses for illness or an investment for health.
The years of consumption are my evidence of wellness.

I use 32 drops for 62 oz. instead of 42 drops. It gives the water a better taste & gives you the same result, which s no stiffness or joint pain(especially the knees). It really works!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PHion Balance PHion pH Booster Kit Liquid, 2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
The taste of the water was so terrible that it was not even drinkable. When I called pHion about this, they merely stated that "some people don't like the taste." UGH! This drastic change in the taste of the water should be mentioned somewhere; how deceiving of the manufacturer!
