4.0 out of 5 stars Who knew?
I ordered this just because it was coming from the same supplier that the suction thingy was from. The suction thing is okay, but these tweezers are used all the time. It does get those hard buggies out, and usually ends up dragging out a long gooey one with it! I know, I know TMI

The only thing that could improve is the width. There's no hinge or anything...

3.0 out of 5 stars Thought they would be better than they actually were
While trying to get boogers out of my one-month old daughter's nose, I thought to myself that this would be sooooooo much easier if I had some safe tweezers I could use. I came to Amazon and searched "plastic tweezers" and found these! I couldn't wait. The bulb aspirator from the hospital that sucks well does not fit in her nostril (even now that she's 5 months old). The...

The only thing that could improve is the width. There's no hinge or anything so the tweezers are set at about 1/4" apart, sometimes there is need for it to be wider so I have to use my pinky to spread them apart, slightly awkward especially holding a baby.

5.0 out of 5 stars very useful baby tool, February 22, 2011

I relied on other reviews to buy this product. I have to say these are definitely going to make your life easier. When your little baby's nose is stuffed up and is having trouble feeding you will need these. I have tried the bulb syringe which doesn't work all the time and the baby hates it. I have also bought a nose aspirator, baby comfy nose, but if you have these you don't have to bother using an aspirator. I use these just about every other day to quickly and painlessly remove boogies from my two month old's nose. I am not saying that he likes it but it gets the job done pretty fast and painlessly. No need putting water drops in his nose which he hates and going through the whole routine of using an aspirator or bulb syringe. The tweezers are able to get dried boogies and usually pull the wet stuff out with it. I would say it may take about 5 seconds to get the job done. I can't say enough about how great these are. If I lost or broke them I would NEED to buy them again!

5.0 out of 5 stars Booger Tweezers!, December 27, 2009

My daughter is 6-months old and nearly from the beginning she wakes up with very large dried boogers in her nose. Her nose is too small for traditional removal methods (fingers) and regular tweezers are too dangerous. The boogers will just stay in her nose for days without assistance.

This is a great product, perfect for baby noses. It's easy to use, safe and it quickly does the job minimizing the need for baby to stay still.

You'll love these tweezers because they work. You'll hate them because you'll find yourself obsessed with cleaning your little one's nose. We use the Pigeon tweezers for the ickies you can see and the Nosefrida for what you can't see when the baby sounds like she's stuffed up. Baby hates anything being stuck up her nose (who doesn't?) but these tweezers are effective and work way better than the hospital issued aspirator. Tie a bright ribbon around these so they're easy to find and you won't accidentally throw them out with the tissues (speaking from experience)!

4.0 out of 5 stars Updated review, December 8, 2010

I purchased this item after reading rave reviews from other Amazon shoppers. When it arrived, I eagerly tried it out and was greatly disappointed.

Didn't really "grab" the snot like reviews had stated.

Personally I find that using a Q-tip to swab the nose works perfectly. I'm just saying, try a Q-tip and save yourself some $$$.

Just wanted to update my original comment. Now that my daughter is quite a bit older, these tweezers do come in handy. Good for grabbing the "crusty" little guys up in there. These tweezers are a much better alternative than dousing her nose with saline and using the bulb syringe. Just grab the tweezers and pluck it out!

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE!!, August 24, 2011

My baby is 4 months old and I have used this precious little instrument at least every other day since I got it 2 months ago. I now have compiled a baby nose cleaning kit that I have found to be extremely useful:

1. Little Noses saline drops - one or two drops in each nostril loosens those stubborn things and makes the rest of the job a cinch

2. Baby Comfy Nose nasal aspirator - better than its competitor (can't say the name but it's the one with the blue tube) because it is so much easier to suck. My baby used to cry when I used the other one, but she seems to really prefer the degree of suction of this one.

3. Bulb nasal aspirator - because of its longer tip, this is sometimes helpful for the occasional booger that is lodged farther up the nostril

4. TWEEZERS - many times, sucking is just not enough. Tweezers to the rescue! I use them in conjunction with a gentle LED light that I can aim up her nostril - makes booger removal infinitely easier and more efficient.

This works great for getting the dry, crusty green goblins out of my 8 month old's nose. Getting him to sit still is one thing, but after a diaper change, I can usually get a good look if something is blocking his airway. This is made out of plastic and is easy to hold and manuever quickly to get the job done!

I hate seeing boogers in my 4m.o. baby's nose, and hear them preventing her from breathing easily. But before I use an aspirator (I've got a few types), I have to weigh booger discomfort vs. aspirator torture for baby.

With these tweezers, it literally took me 2 seconds to remove a couple of huge "clogs." Felt almost like a magician - and my baby was smiling.

Buying a second one for the diaper bag now and will be highly recommending them to all!

an essential item for any moms! I wish I had it for my first daughter. I heard about it, but I thought it was ridiculously pricey for tweezers. Now that I have my second baby, I figured I'd give it a try. It's worth every penny! I wish there are more products like this available at normal retail stores with lower price. I have pigeon scissors to cut tiny finger nails, and I love it very much, too! Strongly recommend them. I would like to try other pigeon products, but it's not available any retail stores around me, and they are pricey. I wish other companies produce similar products.
