I purchased this to hard wire some home theater components to my LAN (TV, AVR, BD player, Logitech Revue), although most of these could work via wi-fi they perform a lot better hard wired to the network, especially when streaming content such as Netflix, etc. I already owned a ZyXEL PLA407 HomePlug AV 200 Mbps Powerline Wall-Plug Adapter (Starter Kit - 2 Units), so I was hoping I would not run into setup issues. I didn't. Plugged the unit to the wall, flipped the switches, connected all 4 components with Cat-6 cable and plugged them all into the power strip. All components connected to the network and worked, speed is terrific. Great device.
