Great for kindergarten,

My 5-year-old uses this for kindergarten class at home. I suggest using it with a curriculum. The one I use gives tips for teaching the material and says what the pictures are. Some of them can be a little tricky to guess. Over all, this book has been excellent in helping my kids learn to read. My two older children thought it was fun and did not find it one bit confusing when they were learning how to read.

Great workbook, but best as a supplement,

I have heard raves about MCP Phonics, so I purchased this workbook for my little boy. We both enjoy the activities and they are very good, but they are far too simplistic to be relied upon as the sole source of phonics instruction. We use this book as "fun" work after doing the "real" work using Saxon Phonics.
