5.0 out of 5 stars Go for it
I bought this for a very old Mac (running Leopard).
It works just great, I was able to download updates, videolan and watch last apple keynote at same time. Very impressive. Keeps the signal steady.

I tested it on Vista as well and it runs smoothly. It also run on Linux but I don't need or use it.
It comes with English/Chinese mini manual...

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay product
This product was great for the price i paid for it. It worked fine for my dell pc. The only thing that was really annoying was that when my computer would shut down, the wireless would stop working and i would have to re-install it. This was the only computer that this happened on so i figured it was the wireless usb adapter. Other than that it was a great product

The only annoying part, on mac, that you need to keep an application (which is the actual network driver) running on dock for the time that you want to be connected. It's visually annoying but that's about it.

For that price and this quality I say go for it!

I own an EeePC 1000HE Asus computer, it contains a Wifi card that does not work if you are running Leopard MAC OS on this computer; so the choices are: changing the wifi card or buying this amazing product that has MAC drivers. So with this USB you pay less than buying a compatible wifi card for this computer.

I have absolutely no problems with this adapter

STEP BY STEP EASY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Put the CD in my PC (Windows XP) [adapter not plugged in yet]
2. Installed the drivers/software
3. plugged in the USB adapter and chose "find on CD" for the driver.
4. Opened configuration utility, and changed top right to "Access Point"
5. Bridged to my Ethernet adapter (both in the adapter settings and via Network Connections)

connected PSP, worked perfectly

OPTIONAL TIPS:
> Bridging is easy in Windows XP, select both connections (shift click) and click Bridge Connections
> Change Channel to 11 for faster speeds (54.0 Mbps)
> Set up a 10-digit 64bit WEP key if you'd like security, I did 00123456789
> Choose Hide SSID to have a non-broadcasting network (if you're paranoid like me
> If either the wireless or Internet on your PC stop working, delete the bridge and remake it.

Works perfectly so far for me, good luck to you all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great replacement for MacBook AirPort., December 11, 2009

I wasn't getting good reception on my Macbook's AirPort, so I looked for something to improve the wireless connectivity. It was between this or the ASUS, and I choose this because they seemed comparable, and this was a bit cheaper. Be sure to install the software first before plugging in the USB, because I did it the other way around, and I had to redo it. After it was set up, I'm getting great reception! On my AirPort, I was getting inconsistent coverage beyond 6 feet - and forget about it if I tried going to Starbucks, but now, I can roam anywhere in the house and get a strong signal. My only complaint is that I use a USB mouse, and the USB dongle is slightly blocking the other USB port, and I have to wiggle it a bit to plug in both. I'm so relieved that I can actually use the MacBook for what it was designed for, and really, this says something about Apple when a USB dongle that costs less than $20 fixes a problem on a laptop that costs $1k, but I digress. I'm using OS X 10.5 on a MacBook.

I needed a USB internet adapter for a very old MAC computer - I ordered this after considerable hesitation (the folks in the Apple store discouraged me).
However, it works great!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great wireless G adapter for the price, February 27, 2010

I was very happy with the wireless adapter upon receipt. It took me a time to initially set-up but if you're tech. savy, it's not difficult. I believe it would be a challenge for anyone who isn't. However, I tend to dive into things first, and only reference documentation if I experience a problem.

You can't beat the price, and it functions well. However, the driver is not supported on Vista or Win 7 (and it's stated on Amazon).

I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive and very dependable wireless adapter.

Note: I just provided mine to my sister, as she needed one, and I'm thinking about another purchase.

Just like the title: Outstanding Value and Dependability!
We bought this USB internet device after being disappointed with the setup and operation of a competitor. Not only was this easy to install, but it delivers dependable connections day in and day out. The software interface could stand to be more robust in the way of having more security functionalities. There are no dropped connections and a wireless distance of 30 feet provides about a 50-60% level. I would not hesitate in recommending this as I would buy more of their products.

I have no idea how anybody has gotten this to work. I'm a certified computer tech and have never been able to get this to work without a fight, if at all. The drivers are horrible. Only an executable comes on the cd with it, meaning no INF files whatsoever to install manually if you have to, and good luck getting it to work in Vista. On the positive side, drivers uninstalled cleanly and painlessly unlike Netgear drivers, which won't remove properly at all and leave a mess.
