I had previously broken 8 over the ear headsets that often made my ear sore. Since replacing those with this (I didn't like the earlier style) I have no regrets. Calls come in clearly and it sits comfortably in my ear. The is the best one I've ever used and I've gone through quite a few high end BT headsets. The best thing is that there are so many ways to charge it and I can even use the USB charger that came with their Pulsar stereo headset.

Ok so this thing is awesome. I have used the jawbone and honestly was not impressed. The operation of the unit was great but I could never realy get it to fit right and believe me, I used all of the attatchments. I was not sure how the 655 would fit without the earpiece(hook) but it is very steady with no flopping (I hate flopping). Also no one has complained about voice clarity and I can hear very well using this device. I would highly recomend.

I got this for about $40, and it is definitely worth that price. Decent battery life, it picks up my voice well enough, not quite as clear as I would like (though that could be due to my cell reception), but easier to hear than through my phone. It's not that uncomfortable, even when staying in my ear for a long time, as long as I don't touch it. As soon as I go to fiddle with it or try to set it in my ear more securely, it hurts. The included ear loop is a necessity, and doesn't really bug me. It's nice that it comes with three different ear buds, but it still won't just stick in your ear for a long period of time without the loop. For my first headset, it was definitely worth the price. If you're going to be paying up to $100 though, I might look for something a bit better.

The Good:Easy setup to cellphone,excellent quality speaking and listening,
just right volume level.
The Bad:Annoying tendency to pick up background noise(regardless
of DSP),tv,radio,air conditioning:often louder than voice.

This was my third Bluetooth Headset. It worked well and I liked the audible quality of the device. It was fairly comfortable but I never felt like it fit quit right even after trying all the different size ear pieces. Perhaps that has more to do with my ear than the device. My biggest criticism is that it suddenly quit charging. I purchased it in April 2010 and it quit working 10 months later. Since I paid just under $25.00 for it I can live with it, but I won't be ordering another 655.

I have always thought Plantronics was a quality company until I bought their Bluetooth - Discovery 655. Ever since the beginning I have had a problem with it and it has been sooooo frustrating. I realize now I will have to stop using it, and buy another Bluetooth at Costco, and sadly, not a Plantronics Bluetooth. :( My Costco is just a block away from their Santa Cruz, CA Plantronics offices.

I realize now after reading over reviews many others have had my same problem and even though a newer verson has come out, the problem still continues.

Every time I put on my Discovery 655 Bluetooth, the the soft gel tip falls off of the headset, it falls some place in my car, between the seats or on the ground and I spend a lot of time looking for it. This most recent time, I can't even find it!!!! I have given up and will need to buy another one, that does not fall apart on me. DO NOT BUY A PLANTRONICS BLUETOOTH that has a "REMOVABLE" SOFT GEL TIP, because they do not stay on!!!!

Works good in the car but if you use it outside on a windy day there is a lot of wind noise that comes thru, so much so that I have turned it off and held the phone up to my ear. If you use it inside out of the wind it works fine.

This is my second blue tooth devise and far better than the first one i had. I havent had any complaints from any listener. However, the noise cancellation isnt any good but i dont have much of an experience with these devises and also people whom Ive talked to also report the same thing with just about any blue tooth devise. I wpu;d recommend it.

I've found that the noise canceling feature doesn't really do much good. I'm not convinced that the noise canceling feature is worth the extra $10 I had to pay over a regular Plantronics bluetooth headset.
