Pyle’s Hydra series has the solution for your marine audio needs – this PLCD16MRWB black head unit is capable of tuning AM/FM and weather-band, so you’ll always be one step ahead. It also plays audio and MP3 CDs, and has an auxiliary input to plug in another device like an iPod or MP3 player. It’s rated at 4 x 60 watts, so each speaker has plenty of independent power. And it comes with everything you’ve come to expect from a modern head unit: 3-beam laser tracking, anti-skip mechanism, loudness settings, and a 30 station memory. The LCD screen is backlit and shows relevant track info. A wired remote control with display means you can change tracks without having to get up. For security, the anti-theft faceplate is detachable. Pyle’s head units will have your music sounding great at the dock or in the middle of the ocean.

Shipping was excellent, it arrived early and there were no problems. I installed the unit on a motorcycle and use the romote on the handle bars. Everything works great. I would like to have fade and balance control on the remote also the CD player is a little more sensitive than I would have thought for marine use but works well enough. Overall I give the experince high marks from start to finish. I will use Amazon again.

Great radio with features for mid-range power and sail boats. I have one in my Bayliner 2452 and one in my Catalina 36. Radio in the cabin and remote at the helm station. We use all functions and really like the mute so we can hear and use the VHF radio. The connection for mp3 is sure handy and we hook up the DVD to it for the BIG sound effect. Wired remotes rock because they light up at night and you can always find them!

Bought it for it has weather band and cd function for my application it was a good fit. The unit came in perfect condition, no complaint with that, but the install of the remote came with a poor connector on the extension cable which without made the remote useless. Neverless the radio works,weather band for me was a need, and the cd is nice but it skips really easy and doesn't use rewriten cd which is about 90% of my cd's that only details in the instuctions in the troubleshooting section, oh well it was still cheap.
