For what they call waterproof Marine AM/FM/CD player is way miss-labeled..this was installed in my boat by myself at a location where if the boat took on a huge wave,was in a torental down pore,capsized,or even sank it would not have gotten wet..after 3 outings in less than 2 months it just quit working...upon taking it apart the wire's to the face plate and to power the unit broke free from there sodder points cauced by corrosion from the salt air..Marine??? yeah right.. I use thread thicker than the wire's used in this unit to sew on buttons..and no sealent for the circut boards to protect the sodder joints...4 wire's just corroaded off... again Waterproof Marine...NOT...I spent 84.00 for this as it was advertized at a huge savings off retail of 259.00 makes ya wonder ...my advice to you DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK.....................I would like my money back ,,,yeah dream on...oh and it came with 4 speakers (marine waterproof)and a face splash plate...I'm wondering when the speakers are gonna corroade,fall apart or just evaporate..

After I installed the product on land, it worked for about 30min to an hour but the sound was definately weaker than it should have been. All the wiring was disconnected and re-connected, thinking it was loose wiring. This did not solve the problem. The receiver wasn't able to turn on. The wiring was tested with a volt-meter and power was confirmed on both sides of the receivers fuses (product has 2 fuses). It seems as though the receiver had internal damage. It is an extremem pain in the a.. to go through the entire installation and then realize the product is faulty. Somehow confirm the receiver works before tearing your boat apart!

Installation was actually a breeze. Wiring up was also simple as everything to install, wire, and make ready to listen was included in this kit. Sound was really good and clear. Would definitely recommend this product to others, as it is an outstanding product. It truly blends in with the white console and the wireless remote works well when running on the water and you do not want to look down at the actually display. Outstanding product overall.

This unit works very well with good sound quality and installed quickly. I'ts major drawback is the tiny size of the buttons and the lettering on them. I have normal size fingers, but I cannot push these buttons without the aid of the eraser end of a pencil and I still can't read the small letters so I rely on the remote to control this unit, but it's range is only 3 feet.

Purchased this packaged stereo with speakers just to have some music on the boat.
I was not expecting a symphony but the speakers that come with the package are very poor quality.
Any volume over 40% the speakers start to sound as if they were blown.
I guess you get what you pay for, now buying new speakers, oh well, live and learn.

Was missing screws to mount and mounting bracket was cracked. It was a present that I bought early for my husband so thde return policy had expired. So we kept it and made it work. Sounds fine .....just had hardware issues.

I installed in about an hour do to problems with mounting the radio, but it was a problem with the console, not the radio. Awesome sound quality. Remote is picky. Must be pointed directly at radio for it to work, but for 84.24, its a great budget radio for FRESHWATER marine environments.

After installed the unit finally, the radio / CD player, and speakers all work OK, except the remote control unit. I thought it is a drained battery in the romote control problemm, went out and brought a new CR2025 battery for $3.99, but found out ths unit does not work at all even with the new battery. And did a on-line search for PLCD11MRKT remote control trouble, did not find a solution but found several places sell the remote unit for $30.00 plus shipping, so it must has a quality problem if so many can make profits by selling the remote for it.

This isn't the fanciest radio around, but does the job. It was easy to install and works just fine. The best part was the price - lower than any other site I hit.

I purchased this to mount in the T=top of my boat. I installed it and it sounded wonderful. It played for about an hour and then quit working. The boat was never moved or put in the water. It just stopped and makes a bunch of scratching noises. I disconnected all the wiring, rewired to make sure there were no loose connections or grounded speakers. After all was said and done, the radio made the same noise regardless of if it were playing a CD or the radio stations. Now I have to find a new one. I will not be buying another radio through Amazon.
