4.0 out of 5 stars Good litttle EQ for the price, August 5, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PYLE PLE430PX In-Dash 4 Band Parametric Equalizer/Crossover (Electronics)
It's not the greatest EQ in the world but it allowed me to hook up my stock factory stereo and a handheld MP3 player to my new amplifiers. Since it has two seperate 2-channel audio inputs (labeled as CD and Radio), I have the factory cd player to one and the mp3 player to the other. I wanted to keep the functionality of my factory stereo (has an output screen on the dash and steering wheel controls) so I had to splice into my factory stereo speaker wires and convert them into rca plugs with a converter coupler and then run them to the EQ using the "CD" input. I then ran a cable from the MP3 player that convert to RCA's and plugged it into the "radio" input of the EQ. The only drawback is you have to toggle a switch to change between the two and I have this eq mounted in the truck since I had no space to put it up front so it's hard for me to get to. If you have space up front then mount it up front and you can toggle between the 2 inputs easily. However it really isn't that big of an issue since I mostly use the mp3 player for all my music listening in the car. The seperate sub RCA out is really nice since I have a dedicated amp driving my sub, I can adjust it seperately. It also has seperate front and rear RCA outputs for running to either a 4 channel amp or 2 seperate 2 channel amps. With this eq I was able to accomplish what I wanted to do without having to buy the Cleansweep device for a couple hundred dollars extra. I am pleased with the sound and there is very low noise - I can turn the mp3 player up to max and it sounds clean - not so with the factory cd player but that's to be expected since I'm not using really true RCA outputs. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.
