PYLE PLE730R 7-Band Rotary Control Pre-Amp Equalizer w/Subwoofer Control

I am using this unit on a Polaris RZR-s UTV with an iPod line-out level source and an Alpine PDX-5 five channel Amp. A couple of features I like about it is that it has two line-level inputs (main / aux) and 6 channels of output. If you are not running a head unit (a radio), then this device is very useful to get 5/6 channels of pre-amp signal output from a two channel source. The unit is very noise free and sub cross-over and gain is useful for fine-tuning a sub-woofer in your system. The layout of the knobs is very intuitive (The Clarion EQ I was alternatively looking at had the sub gain and master volume swapped).

The only thing I don't quite like about this unit is the actual design of the knobs. I have large fingers and the knobs are tapered into an arrow shape. They are a little difficult to turn because they are smooth and not knurled. A simple round knob with a line for a pointer would be perfect, and would make this unit a perfect 10 for me.

I don't plan on adjusting the knobs much though as I using a PAC volume controller between the iPod source and the Pyle EQ / preamp. For my system, the EQ is just for fine tuning (set it an forget it mostly since my kid and wife will be driving the RZR).

I am very happy with this unit.

I just installed this last summer with two MONSTER PYLE PLAD 413's. It is an equalizer, crossover and subwoofer control-all in one small box that mounts under the dash or console! Ultra thin case makes this possible!

Totally illuminated knobs (green LED's) with front panel LED level meters (green, red LED's)puts on a great light show!! The rear inputs (RCA's) are gold!! The front panel knobs are pretty much wobble-free!
The unit is QUIET! with no appreciable background noise (hiss).

I've tried all the high end units-this is the "biggest bang for the buck"
under/in dash EQ you can get!!

This is a great little equalizer. I bought this EQ b/c I wanted to be able to adjust the frequency on the output of my speakers and subwoofer. Not necessarily looking for louder, just more control over what comes out of the speakers and sub. But be aware: this is a pre-amp, which means it won't work unless you run it thru an amplifier. It works great (with the $200 amplifier I bought too) but just know it is a pre-amp and requires you to have an amplifier (that is, if you want it to work).
