The 505R is a user friendly rotary laser with a traditional red beam and a 100-foot visible indoor working range. Also effective for outdoor use and use in larger spaces, the 505R System includes a laser detector to deliver reliable readings over extended distances of 500 feet for a 1000-foot working diameter. Four rotating speeds and four scan modes further extend the unit's versatility. And when it comes time to tackle drainage or grade-matching jobs, the laser's dual-slope capability gives you the performance you need.

The 505R is accurate within 1/8-inch over 100 feet, and it comes with a remote control that allows you to ensure that you're always operating the laser from a safe, convenient location--this is particularly useful for ceiling installation and other overhead work.

we have used this laser for only about one month, it has performed as expected - easy setup, accurate, well built, good case. only one question, why does the remote not have an off button?
