5.0 out of 5 stars No problems, good value ...
Before I ordered this product, I sent an email to their tech support just to insure that it was non-ECC memory. I received a response the same day, which was appreciated (by the way, all retail PNY memory is non-ECC in case you were now wondering). No problems with the installation. The 2GB was recognized at 400 MHz. No problems since installation.

1.0 out of 5 stars Take your own risk with PNY memory stick
I received it within 24 hours of my purchase and appreciate for quick free shipment from amazon. However, when I installed it into the PC that stopped working right now, I did not see anything on the monitor. I had previous memory installation experience and it was easy. The memory was in the right place with the tabs/nothces were put together so it was placed correctly...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, April 4, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: PNY OPTIMA 1GB DDR 400 MHz PC3200 Desktop DIMM Memory Module MD1024SD1-400 (Personal Computers)
Dropped right into my Dell Dimension with no problems. The computer recognized it with no configuration necessary. I've been using it for a couple of months now, performance is great, and there have been no issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!, August 23, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I replaced the original DIMM in my iMac G5 with these two 1GB modules. Although I was apprehensive about opening the case and messing with the innards, between the instructions in the iMac manual (which doesn't try to dissuade owners from swapping out their own memory), and the instructions that came with the PNY DIMMs, I was easily able to replace the one 256 MB module with the two new 1 GB modules. It almost took longer to un-plug all the lines and cables and plug them back in than it took to replace the memory.

And wow! What a difference in performance. I have over 5, 000 pictures in iPhoto, and they now load up in less than 5 seconds! Don't know why I waited so long to do this. Oh, right! The apprehension. Get over it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great purchase!, December 23, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought PNY OPTIMA 2GB (2x1GB) Dual Channel Kit DDR 400 MHz PC3200 for my Dell Dimension 3000. So I went from having 512MB in RAM to 2 GB. My PC is not freezing anymore and I can use it while my antivirus is running.

5.0 out of 5 stars PNY is Great!, August 24, 2007
This review is from: PNY OPTIMA 1GB DDR 400 MHz PC3200 Desktop DIMM Memory Module MD1024SD1-400 (Personal Computers)
I just wanted to say that I bought a PNY 1GB memory strip from Best buy which was suggested by the Geek Squad and it worked so well that I came across the info that Amazon had some new ones for half the price, so I bought another one. Now I am 2 GB strong, maxed out and very satisfied. I noticed that someone stated PNY was crap, not true; if you know what you need and buy the correct part you will be satisfied. Some people don't buy the correct parts and put blame on the manufacturer. In addition, I bought a GeForce 860 video card with the PNY name on it as well and it is awesome! Thanks for your time!

5.0 out of 5 stars PNY OPTIMA 2GB DDR PC3200 Kit Rocks, August 29, 2008
Upgraded my HP a1330n from 1GB to 3GB.
No problems installing (just popped them into the two open slots).
It was immediately recognized and now my system boots faster and performs better. Other than getting spyware off your PC, upgrading the RAM is the best thing you can do to make it scream. Two thumbs up.

1.0 out of 5 stars Take your own risk with PNY memory stick, February 28, 2005

I received it within 24 hours of my purchase and appreciate for quick free shipment from amazon. However, when I installed it into the PC that stopped working right now, I did not see anything on the monitor. I had previous memory installation experience and it was easy. The memory was in the right place with the tabs/nothces were put together so it was placed correctly. I rebooted the PC but nothing happened. I tried 3 times without any success. At that time, I had noticed that that memory stick was very hot. Then I called to PNY tech support # provided on the package and that person told me that that memory I received from amazon was defective and return to amazon. It was OK to return the item but I could not reboot my PC. He told me to removed the battery from PC and unplugged it for 2+ hours to reset it. I waited 3 hours and put everything back and turn it on. Nothing happened. I called again to PNY tech support and waited 45min and they suddenly cut the line. I tried again and waited another 45 min and they cut the line again (I heard the ringing tone, then suddenly the line was cut off -- twice!!). I cannot wait another hour to be cut off again. It seemed like they are avoiding my call and they already knew that new PNY memory caused my other memory sticked burned. I saw little burned on (gold edges of the sticks) both my old memory stick and new PNY I purchased from amazon. My PC was not only unimproved with this new PNY memory, but I also lost my existing good memory stick (125MB). This meory stick is pretty expensive and I chose brand name expecting for better quality as well as improvement for my PC but now, I even lost my good one and cannot use my PC. You can't tell any difference for this PNY stick until you actually installed into your PC. Don't buy PNY for their quality uncontrolled and poor thech support. The automated voice will tell you check the problems in their website. How one can check when the PC was not working?? You have to wait hours to pass automated voices to get live support and wait more hours to get the live person if you're lucky. They don't hesitate to cut off your line anytime. Amazon should have negative stars and this PNY deserves neg stars.

Update: my PC is not working anymore and not repairable. PNY tech support supervisor told me he had to deal with a couple of similar problems per month (imagine how many people suffer the same problem with PNY's defective items) and nobody got compensation according to PNY policy. Never buy PNY products!!

1.0 out of 5 stars made computer unstable, January 24, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got this set of 2x1GB to upgrade my current PC3200 1x512MB setup (emachines). Since there were only 2 slots available, I removed my current stick of RAM and put in this set. Initially it was ok, but subsequently, the computer took multiple rounds to boot up (power on, didn't boot, power cycle xN until it worked). I don't know what was going on, but when we switched back to the old stick, the computer booted ok. Return!!

I have an HP Pavilion a450n. This module popped right in and the system recognized it immediately. Very smooth, worked perfectly. In 15 minutes, I was back up and running with 1.5GB total memory.
