I see these bad reviews and can only think that either they are very unlucky or I am very lucky.

First off I am a Network Admin, secondly I am a member of the US Army Reserve. This thing has held up on both of those two fronts with no issues. This is the first drive I have been able to carry with me no matter where I go due to its durability. I take it out to the field with me, to the range, and then the next day it is transfering files between rebuilt servers, laptops and desktops. I never follow the proper removal procedures because I don't have critical data on it, I just yank it and go! I have had it for about a year or so, still works great and I love it. The reason I am here posting this is because I am going to buy another one :)

As I write this I am looking at mine, it is pitted and all the finish and lettering is worn off, but I just got done using it to transfer network card drives to a rebuilt laptop with no problem, I love this little flash drive :)

I bought this flash drive to replace my 1 gb PNY of a different style. I was excited at first to get 4 gb in such a small unit, small enough to keep on a keychain. I decided to stick with PNY because my old one was insanely durable. Big mistake. It is small enough to keep on a keychain, and seems pretty durable. HOWEVER, after the first couple of uses, it started producing corrupt data and files. I have formatted the drive multiple times on multiple computers and platforms. The problem persists. Having corrupt files makes this item pretty much useless. I would not recommend this product.

I have had this flash drive for only two weeks.

In that time, I have had six files corrupt on me, many of which were very important project files. I followed proper ejecting protocol and still had problems.

I would not recommend this flash drive to anyone.

I've had this drive for about a month and thought it WAS amazing. Tiny, cute, great, whatever. It's dead. All my data's gone. I never write reviews but when you trust something with important data and it just stops working that's just bad.

I loaded mine with data and the next day files were corrupt and unreadable. I reformatted the drive and reloaded the data. Once again, files were corrupted. Terrible device.

This product is heavily discounted for a reason: it's next to worthless. After no more than 2 weeks, no computer was able to read the device. Don't waste even $1 on this product. Spend the extra few bucks for something that works.

I bought this drive to use for booting/reinstalling Linux on my netbook. It writes files at about 15MB per minute. It took hours to copy my files to the thing (3.5GB iso file). Of course, there was a problem with the file, so now I have the choice of copying files for several hours again for another try, or ditching it in the nearest trash can. Actually, I think I'll leave it on my desk at work to punish our thieving office cleaners. This thing performs like a USB 1.0 device. If your time is of any value at all, don't waste your money on this drive.

Device works beautifully... while it chooses to keep working. Bought two of these after Christmas. BOTH are now dead 3 months later. In fact one of the two was only pulled out of it's packaging a month ago.

Co-worker bought one of the non-swivel versions of this same drive a month before me, and his is also now dead.

Bottom line? works great, but don't expect more than about 90 days worth of life from one of these.

I bought two of these. Both were inconsistent when I plugged them in. Sometimes the ikon showed up, sometimes I had to plug them in two or three more times before they showed up on my screen. I returned them and Amazon replaced them. The two new ones behaved the same way. I returned those and got a SanDisk 8G. It is bigger [who cares] and very solid. Works every time. I strongly recommend it. Amazon service is great!

I was so excited to get this b/c I wanted something small that I could carry on my key chain. After a 3 months the drive isn't recognized by any computer and I can't access any of the info. It's not my computer (I tested with other USBs and the computer recognized those), and other computers don't recognize it either. This is a waste of money and more importantly, the info is gone too.
