4.0 out of 5 stars Workhorse, April 11, 2008
This review is from: PNY VCQ4380XGL-PB Nvidia Quadro4 380 XGL 64MB DDR SDRAM AGP 8x Graphics Card (Personal Computers)
This card, based on the same NV18 GPU as the GeForce 440MX, was introduced in February of 2002. It provides extremely reliable, baseline performance for professional, OpenGL accelerated applications, and the Quadro drivers are certified for many of these applications, differentiating this card from it's GeForce brethren.
This card is a dinosaur by todays standards, but it is now extremely cheap and very solid (not even having an active heatsink). I would definitely buy this card as a stop-gap if you have an aging 3D workstation with a failed graphics card and you can't quite afford the jump to a modern PCIe based system.
PNY is nVidia's OEM for all their Quadro cards. Their support is exemplary and expedient for the Quadro line, which is basically the reason Quadro cards cost more than twice their GeForce equivalent.

-- note -- if you are going to review a product, you should probably own that product. if you are going to review that products technical support you should probably have experience with that products technical support
