Years ago, I had to pay over $300 to get a video card that played any game out there. This one was near $100, and I can't find a game it will not play. You name it, Far Cry 2, Halo 2, Oblivion, etc., etc. This video card plays them all smoothly, and quite beautifully. My processor is just a Quad 2.4 GHz, and I only have 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM (neither of these is spectacular), but the video card takes the full load of the video tasks flawlessly. I know there are even faster video cards out there, but they are so expensive. This is a frugal alternative, while still getting extreme performance.

Go for it! This is a great investment in excellent video graphics and gaming.

Great card. One thing that i found strange was it has no external power connector. All power is drawn from the MB.

Overall, I'm very happy with this card. Runs everything I play smooth as silk.

I would have to say that the performance of this card worked great.

I would also agree it was a little loud but it really wasn't that bad. I sorta liked to hear the fan go so that I knew it was really workin hard. Some games like Bad Company 2 would lag rarely once in a while, nothing to cause any concern though.

The bad part is that it started to smoke on me today, literally. Luckily the computer turned off before my house burnt down (I was in the other room). After pulling the card out, found one of the little square nobs on the board was almost melting onto my motherboard. Luckily I think my mother board is okay. So I would say the card is a good one to have but be warned that it might melt on ya. I've had it for about a year and a half, so my warranty isn't good since I forgot to register it... shame on me.

For the money this card was what I was looking for. It cost far less, doesn't require additional power and it runs all my games at higher settings than my old 8800gts, with no lag.

Wonderful product, would highly recommend to anyone interested in gaming, great performance, fast gaming, handles most games well! I have had it for a month now and have not had any problems at all! Super cheap for the quality you get too!

I ordered on Sept, 18th, ship date is not till Sept 27 - Oct. 12.??? Really? You expect me to wait as late as Oct 12 to be shipped? I guess I could just cancel the order... Will change review if I get it before end of week, not sure end of month. Sigh.*** Right after this review I received email confirmation of shipment and delivery. Thank you Amazon! I actually received 3 days earlier than the corrected estimated delivery and got it on Sat, 25th.

This replaced my 2nd overheated 8800 (1 gts then 1 gt). Each lasted about a year then received "nvlddmkm.sys" errors. Tried to no avail to find a fix then installed rivatuner to realize "display driver stopped responding" when card gets to 70 degrees. I know now to keep an eye on my card temp and hopefully will get more than 1 yr out of em. I do game alot and have my gaming rig next to my HDTV (gets WARM even w/ fan directly on my rig). So far only tried Dragon Age Origins and did see improvement in gfx and smoother gameplay.

Lastly, I also noticed the shorter profile on this card thus easier install. Overall I am still pleased with this purchase.

I have had one of these in my computer for a year or more.
I love mine and my son needed a better video card for his computer.
So I didn't look any further than this card.
It may not be the best money can buy, but for the price it's great.
Can play all the games on all settings no lag.

The performance.... like other video card. However, it is extremely noisy, like refrigerator beside you. If you want to have a quite computer... Please don't buy it!
