Incomplete,

When you see the words 'The Best of,' usually thoughts of split tv episodes (how do they decide 'the best' anyway) and selected comic strips from some funny papers comes to mind. It is the same here.
This is the one volume collection of the three volume RBG pokemon manga. It contains all three volumes minus most of the Team Rocket plotline. The only TR story it has is the Mew story with Green (Blue for you Japanophiles). Still a decent book, but definitely not the best. If you can find them, go for the individual volumes. The upcoming Yellow collection will most likely be the same. Hopefully, this is just a precursor to Viz releasing the Gold/Silver series on up in the near future.

My son loved this book. He's a big fan of Pokemon, but not a big fan of reading, but since it was Pokemon, he read it. And read it. And read it.. For once I had to yell at my son to turn off the light already, and put the book away!. A great book for 2nd graders.

This manga is for a very young age group, 8-12. The story is fun and follows the storyline of the first 3 Poke'mon games, Red/Blue/Green (Japanese). Though the story is full of plot holes and wondering what happened between events and chapter changes. I would buy this if your a Pokemaniac and avoid it if your not.

This is a great selection of the manga. It's pokemon to the core, but differant enough from the TV series to keep even the hard-core fans interested. It's good to see a version of pokemon where 'Ash' is actually intelligent, and Brock isn't a complete perv... The one beef with this book, is that it isn't the complete series. It jumps from one story to the next with little warning, so everyone suddenly appears with Pokemon they previously didn't seem to have. Otherwise, a great read. Highly recommended!

I know what your thinking "Pokemon SUCKS!" Yes, if it is the anime version. However, the mangas is actually worth your time. Our hero in this story is Red not Ash and he's actually cunning and intuitive unlike his anime counterpart. Best of all there's no Jessie, James, or Mewothw anywhere!! If your thinking about buying this you should also look at the other Pokemon manga which stars our lovable idiot Ash but it is actually funny and yes the three team rockets members are there but they actually do things different then in the manga instead of chasing that stupid pikachu around. Pokemon, the worst anime ever. Pokemon, the manga, pretty decent.
