Just leave the light switch on... The light comes on as promissed. Quality product and build. I placed the light in a recessed lighting can in our bathroom. The light comes on at night no fumbling. The light is clean just the right temperature. The light has a sensor so it won't turn on in daylight when it's not needed. It also stays on for a reasonable amount of time (about two minutes) . The time is not adjustable.

I like the concept so very much, I am trying to figure out where else I could use it. I am considering a covered, but outside porch location so the light greats visitors. I don't, however, think this is recommended by the manufacturer for outside use.

Update... My one critisicm is that it continually draws 0.5 watts to maintain the motion sensor. This works out to 12 watt hours per day. So not as great an energy saver as one might think. If it is used in a location where the light is required several times an evening then go for it, but to place this in a seldom accessed location like a storage closet, it will use electricity even if you only go to that closet once a week. My logic my be faulty, but I'd rather switch on a light once a week rather than use 84 watts per week ( .5 watts per hour= 12watts per day = 84watts per week at a minimum even if is OFF the entire time) on the chance that I might access the location and not have a hand free to turn on a light.

Just my opinion

I just bought this light recently and I was so impressed that I bought one more for our hallway. It was bright enough and the sensor worked great. For around $30, if it will last 5 years, it was worth it. I was planning to buy more for the bathrooms. However, less than 2 months after I bought the first lamp, it busted. I put a different LED lamp in the same light recess and it worked. I changed my mind. I think I just lost $33. Buy more? Let us see how long the 2nd bulb I bought will last.

Works exactly as advertised; so good that I ordered 4 more. I'm removing the industrial looking motion & light sensor floodlights on each corner of the house with one simple bulb that bright enough to do it all and it's attractive in appearance. Works outside in the rain without any cover other than a socket to screw into. Also I'm saving even more energy burning less than half the wattage of the previous energy saver light bulb it's replacing. A great product. I will also be placing them throughout the house in the hallways, porch and most rooms (not the bedrooms) with the light switches turned on. They only come on when its dark and turn off after there is no motion detected. A great product. The design of this bulb with its all in one do all circuit seems to make it a technology leader. This bulb is now on my Shopping List to buy more. DO NOT ENCLOSE IN A LIGHT SHADE/COVER.

Bought this product in March 2013 after having a couple other similar LED lights which didn't give off as much light. This product is of good quality and works well. Noted the light gives off a light similar to a typical light-bulb of say between 60-75 watts. Only thing I'd prefer is if the light turns off a little faster after leaving the area. I noted the light stays on up to 2-minutes after leaving the room (ie. no motion detection). Price seems a little high, but as long as it lasts as long they say, then it would be a good buy.

I have purchased 2 so far and need 3 more. I figured at the current price it would be best to test them prior to using. I have 5 pull string light fixtures in the basement and I have never seen a product work as good as these for easy on/off efficiency.

Plan to purchase 3 more and create an easy cost effective lighting system.

I feel I could see a ROI of less than 2 years based on the young children that play in the basement. I had lights left on for days on end if I did not look.

Highly recommend this for basements that are not finished.....Absolutely amazing and much brighter than I had anticipated.

This item is a great resource at home while it saves money on my electrical bill. It is activated by motion through its sensor and it keeps the light of during the day with no need to be turning switch on and of. It requires less energy usage which made a difference on my eletrical bill this past 2 months since i installed them around the house. Very happy with product!!

I wasn't expecting more than what it is supposed to do. It senses motion and turns on. Perfect! It has a decent range of sensitivity. I'm always forgetting to turn the light off in the basement near the laundry. I'd say it picks up motion about 15 feet away. Not bad. It is a little tall so you just can't use it in lamps or most light fixtures. I just screwed it into my ceiling and have it as an open light bulb with glass around it.

Installed on my porch the day I received it. It works like a charm...doesn't stay on for long before it cuts off.

Only turns on in *complete* darkness. Stays on for about 2 minutes (although it didn't seem that long to me) and then turns off, leaving you in total darkness. I waved my arms around right next to it, but it wouldn't turn back on.

The translations on the package of the "human body induction lamp" are entertaining, though. I don't mean to make fun of someone's English ability, but it seems like the person in charge of packaging decided there was no need to hire a professional translator and instead used a free web translator.

Inexplicably, the package indicates "Sound of 'pa' will make it turn on automatically." I stood underneath it saying "pa" in every tone of voice I could muster, but nothing happened. The package further indicates, "The place under the sunshine is not suitable for the bulb when someone keep close the lamp, it will be on after you leave, the light will be off automatically". Huh?

And there's more. It's "economic and portable" - "it will be on when people is here, it will be off when we're off, it's all automatic without human resources, super energy-saving." How does it do all that? "Use the high efficient imported Chip, special assembly style, with high quality PC cover, light is much more average, full and soft." And what about the super energy-saving function? "if needed, if will be on, it will be off on contrary, which is more energy-saving than the normal eternal LED bulb." Oh, now I get it.

Excellent product. Light emitted is quite warm and very pleasing. Not the harsh blue of some other LED lights. Recommended. Even though seems a trifle expensive the low electrical consumption and long life of the bulb makes the cost VERY favorable.
