I purchased these glasses a couple of weeks ago. I wish I had read the reviews as I had no idea how thin the glass would be. They are very thin, but fun to use, and until this morning I was very happy with them. I woke up this morning and started to make myself an iced coffee. I dropped a cube into the glass and the glass broke. The whole bottom of the glass shattered. Very sad.

Let me confirm what the other reviewers have found...These are amazingly thin and feel fragile. They have held up fine even through some bumps and slips while washing. Get them, they are fun and cool, but get extra. Even though none have broken on me ... yet, I expect they will eventually.

I'd love love love to give this item a 5/5, its a fun design, it arrived quickly, the packaging is cute, even has a recipe for the drink pictured...

HOWEVER. With that being said, these glasses are extremely thin. These are obviously glasses with the intended purpose of use while drinking alcoholic beverages. I wouldn't feel safe being sober and using these glasses (I tend to be clumsy) but drinking and having them out, they'd probably only make it through one night, if that.

I think that they are gorgeous, and i agree that they'd probably have to be this thin to show the design as well as they do, i just don't feel safe using them for parties (or really anything else). I bought two sets and will enjoy them, but they will be display purposes only.

If you bought these before, and decided to use them for display purposes only, can you let me know how you displayed them? Currently they are just on my bar displayed, but i'd like to maybe place some fake 'rotted' flowers, or some sort of something inside them for fun. Any unique ideas welcome :)

I didn't throw the ice cube in, I dropped it from the rim of the glass. Blew a big chunk out of the bottom. I read the comments about the glass being thin. I didn't think they'd be that thin. I own plenty of fragile glass and crystal barware, but I've never had this happen before. Cute and fun as these glasses are, I'd recommend avoiding them.

I ordered two sets of these: one to keep for myself, and one to gift. In my set, as I washed one of them in the sink, the bottom of the glass broke. There was a dime-sized hole at the bottom of it - in glass?! As strange as it was, I thought it was a fluke and was thankful to not have been cut. In the set I had gifted, the person experienced the same exact type of break!!! She used her fingernail to remove the sticker at the bottom of the glass, and the same dime-size hole suddenly broke off of the bottom. She wasn't hurt either - but I find it hard to believe that this occurred to two different people. Even the ones that did not (yet) break (they come in sets of two) seem flimsy - they are made of very thin glass and I am afraid this might happen with them. I do not trust them to drink out of.

Do not buy these! One broke in transit, and the survivor won't last much longer. The glass is very fragile and extremely thin.

The other reviews sum it up well- these are very cool glasses for cocktails and such, but if you hold them under an icemaker in a fridge and the ice lands in it, they could easily shatter. They are the same thickness I'd say as Reidel wine glasses. So far in several dishwashings, the logo is staying put, so that's a good thing. Had them for 3 months or so, I recommend IF you understand the limitation.

just received mine in the mail. they look great but as everyone else has said, the are very thin and i took great care in hand washing them. the only gripe i have is that one of the glasses has a smudge of what i can only imagine is some kind of 'melted plastic' on the outside of one of my glasses about the size of pinky fingernail. i tried to scratch it off with my finger nails with no luck and them being so fragile i don't want apply too much pressure.
