I have to agree with all the other posters that this is an excellent product. I bought it for myself when I had a cold along with a dry, scratchy throat. I particularly liked the throat soothing properties. You put a drop or two in your nose with your head tilted back and allow it to run to the back of your throat. At first, the strong pine scent was surprising and the feeling of cool oil running from the back of my nose to my throat was a little off-putting, but the instant relief I felt was worth the oozing, slightly gross quality of the oil. I'd compare it to the new nasal spray FluMist--kinda gross, but necessary. Actually FluMist irritated my throat a bit, if I recall--this does not, the oil is very soothing, even if the scent is a little strong. If you are prone to a gagging reflex, the sensation of the oil dripping down might bother you.

Bottle Label Says: For relief of nasal congestion due to colds, nasal irritations, Atrophic Rhinitis (dry, inflamed nasal passages), nasal mucosal encrustations and allergy manifestations (Rose and Hay Fever).

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Oils of Pine, Eucalyptus, Peppermind, Cajeput, and Cottonseed as specially prepared iodized organic oils. Total Iodine 0.5%-0.7%. Assimilable hence non-lipoid potential. Exclusive J-R Iodization process since 1931. One fluid ounce.

DIRECTIONS: Half dropperful each nostril (fill to the line on dropper) as needed or as directed by a physician.

SCENT: it does have a rather strong, earthy pine scent to it which can be soothing to some. As I take another sniff to write this review, my impression is that it smells like a cross between pine and Pledge. It has a certain spicyness to the scent that I'm not wild about, but the scent definitely has the mark of pine and hints of lemon (not that they actually use lemon). Again, all this to say that the scent does not outweigh the soothing properties, in my mind so (I take off no *'s for this). My feeling is that when you're suffering from dryness or you're sick, you take much more yucky tasty medicine (Hello... Pepto? NyQuil?) and if it does the job, your $10 isn't wasted.

My husband is prone to dry sinuses in the wintertime which plague him. This winter so far, he has used it to "heal" his nasal passages and it has worked well. Although nothing can replace a good humidifier (whole house being ideal) this product can do wonders for those that suffer from winter nasal dryness and irritation. My husband said he used it 3X/day for a week and he went from dry and inflamed to moist and comfortable (his words). So... there you go! Two reviews for the price of one...! ;)

I live in Colorado and have had such a dry nose since moving here. I tried vaseline, which left me feeling stuffy. I tried saline sprays, but I just hate spraying anything in my nose - it makes my nose just feel runny. I researched and read tons of reviews and this product seemed to fit the bill. I like that it's all natural ingredients - oils of pine, eucalyptus, peppermint, cajeput and cottonseed. The scent is not as strong as you would think and it soothes the minute you put it in. It comes with a dropper, but I just use a Q-tip to apply. The first night I used it I was sold! My nose stayed clear all night, making breathing easier, and immediately the painful dryness was soothed. I just ordered another bottle to carry with me - the other stays on my night stand. If you live in a dry climate or suffer from sinus/cold problems, give this product a try. You won't be disappointed!

If your sinus is extremely dry due to infection or surgery, this is the one for your choice. I feel instantly relieved after use of this product. Besides its smell is not irritating for a sensitive customer.

I have suffered from extremely painful headaches 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year for 13 years. I've seen all kinds of doctors and alternative medicine folks with no relief. All areas of my head that came into contact with the my painful sinuses were also effected, eyes, ears, even teeth. My head always felt as if I'd been beaten badly in a fight. Everything hurt all the time. It even hurt to touch my head.

I've spent thousands of dollars on doctors and prescriptions and have lost thousands of dollars because I couldn't work due to daily debilitating headaches but I'm brushing up my resume now because of the tremendous healing I'm receiving from this product. Everytime I use this product my sinuses go "Ahhhhh, thank you."

I didn't know how dry my sinuses were, (no doctor raised any alarms) nor did I know that dry condition could possibly cause my previous level of pain. I was using a humidifier but for some reason that brought no benefit. For some of us, our painful sinuses just don't work right and need help to become normal again. In my case they needed lubrication, I could not produce. And for me this miracle oil is a tremendous blessing. The dry, constant, spirit- crushing ache is gone.

This is not the easiest product to find but get it and try it. Don't waste the money and time I've spent before trying this little miracle on a bottle. It it has given me a normal life again.

I have tried so many products out there for my sinus headaches and this is the only one that can clear my sinuses and give me relief after I've tried multiple pain killers. I highly recommend it!

I have had nasal problems my entire 60 years of life and Ponaris has helped me a great deal. I keep two in the house at all times and I use it several times a day. I have finally found the relief that I have been looking for many years

I can't give the credit to my ENT for this product, I found it myself at my local pharmacy!! He wanted to go straight to sinus (near my eyes and brain) surgery before he even seen my CT scan! I've only used it for a few days so far, but it seems like a great product to sooth your sinuses and nasal cavities. To use; you tilt your head back and admin a half dropper full (to the line) in each nostril. You can feel this emollient rolling down the back of your throat and also feel the vapors in your ear canals, it helps me sleep better as I take it QD (once a day) HS (at bedtime). Hope this helps.
After using this product for over half a year; I wanted to add to my initial review. I looked up all the oils (contained in this product)individually on various websites. Each oil sustains (or has known to display)either one or all the following properties: Antiseptic, anti-fungal, anti-viral, analgesic, and anti-cancer.

Just finished my first bottle (ordered in November) and am ordering more. For the past 15+ years, I have been on antibiotics at least three times during the winter/spring months with sinus infections. Tried saline nasal flush before, but it messed up my ear (constant ringing) and saline flush results were so-so. This winter, with Ponaris, I did not have one infection. YAH!!! As soon as I would get a hint of sinus distress, I would use a 1/2 dropper of the Ponaris. Fixed me up right away. I can not say enough positive things about this product. Very highly recommended!!!!

I discovered I had dust and mold allergies just this last year after years of a stopped up nose (mostly during the nighttime). This product has eucalyptus and breathing through your nose feels really good after using the emollient--you can usually feel it all the way to your ear canals. Kinda funny, really, but keeps things gently moist.

We have tried several OTC products for problems associated with nasel dryness during the winter months or when the air is very dry.
This product hands down is the best- it is made with natural ingredients and it really works!
