I've been using this since the summer and I've found it helpful to listen to podcasts in my car (which lacks a headphone port) and I find it does the trick. Even though my Honda Civic is noisy and the road noise can be a problem sometimes, for city traffic the device does the trick. A completely different story for highway traffic though... although you can hear the podcasts, the highest volume is not enough to understand them fully. Of course, if you have a car that blocks the traffic/road noise outside, this should work for you in city and highways.
Music is a different story... it's distorted to the point of being disagreeable and I can't listen to more than one song with this. I have tried different devices and I have yet to find the right FM transmitter that doesn't drive me crazy with the constant hiss... I'll keep looking.

This little wonder is such an eye catcher/conversation starter (go for the green, the other color choices are blah)! I use with an iPod Touch 3G. Volume increase is not very noticeable (since this was really designed for the iPhone 4). What I and others noticed is that the sound is actually a bit clearer and just slightly louder thru the horn than thru the iPod's speaker. Wonderful stand to play movies, YouTube, TV shows, etc. I love that it does not use power/batteries. Definitely not for an audiophile, but then, that is not what the product claims to be,is it? I would buy again/recommend.

let me tell you first that I had very little expectation from this product. But it's incredible that you can get a sound level boost with this product without any external power! And yes, it works as a great stand too.
Of course don't expect any Bose like sound quality from it. This is perfect to carry in your car or for facetime calls. I keep one in office, one in car and one at home!

Awesome
This was a really cool idea that works. Its cheap yet actuly does the job it is made for. If you order this dont do the bundle with battery charger and wire they are crap.

OK, not much amp power
I didn't find this to do as was touted, It makes little improvement on the sound, just directionalized it better. Not finding it very useful.

Simple, good

Fun addition to iPhone Gadgets
This is a great sound amplifier for my iPhone. When I am working around the office or house I set my iPhone in and listen away. Amazing how much it amplifies the sound.

Only redirects one speaker
I gives a 30% or 40% increase in sound I would guess but for some reason it only redirects one speaker. Redirecting both speakers would make more of a difference.
