The Porter-Cable 424MAG 15 Amp 7-1/4-inch Circular Saw features a blade-left design and an electric brake. Its 15 Amp motor operates at 5,800 RPMA for aggressive cuts, and its quick-change keyless blade change feature offers tool-free blade changes in seconds. Other features include an integrated dust exhaust port with 205-degree rotation, a 1-inch outer diameter for easy vacuum attachment, and a 0-to-50 degree miter capacity and a positive stop at 45 degrees for added versatility. Also included are 100-percent ball and needle bearing construction, an extended miter lip on its lower guard for no hang-up cuts, and an on-board cord clip that keeps the cord away from the blade side of the saw. With a quick reference 45-degree edge for marking material built-in to the magnesium base, this saw's magnesium construction provides durability and a lighter overall weight. With a 5/8-inch arbor size, this saw measures 7-3/4 x 10 x 13-1/2 inches and weighs 10 pounds. This saw comes with an 18-tooth carbide-tipped blade, a case, and an owner's manual.

The saw also comes standard equipped with carbide tipped blade.
This is a quality product, just as expected. The one drawback is that I have never gotten as comfortable with the left blade design as I thought I would.Published on September 12, 2009 by Richard A.
It was as advertised...a little heavy, but it is 10 lbs.
Otherwise, it is a great too an will last a good long time
Pros: Well made, lots of power for *real* men, less than 10 lbs. Nice balance, blade left is great (for me). Read morePublished on January 9, 2007 by David Dailey
