And that's unfortunate, because it's a very bright and useful light.

I bought this saw on a whim the day after discovering it online, while trying to find a way to hack out a section of 1˝ inch copper pipe. I needed to add a Tee fitting to this existing copper vent line, right below the top plate of the wall and in a space cramped with plywood sheeting, a nearby stud, and a 4" cast iron drain line. There was no way I was going to get a standard pipe cutter or a full sized saw in there.

As it was, this clamp saw barely made it. The saw body is over 2" wide at the "grip" portion just behind the blade. And although the clamp portion is adjustable, the shoe (the piece that sits between the blade and the saw body), is NOT adjustable like it is on a conventional reciprocating saw. This means that the blade extends beyond the clamp (or outer shoe), the distance being variable on how close in I have the clamp set to the body (i.e. adjusted for smaller pipes means a greater amount of blade extension).

No matter, thanks to the 3-position rotating handle (straight like the Amazon photo shows, or at 90° like a drill) I was able to get into the workspace and make very clean cuts, with only minor interference with the plywood sheeting. The variable speed trigger is sensitive enough to stroke the blade and set it in a fully-extended position before beginning, just for my own reference with respect to the other materials that were at risk of interfering with my cut; however, it also serves as an indicator as to how strong the motor is (or isn't) when starting with the blade already in a partial cut, starting slowly with a soft squeeze, and noticing how little resistance it takes to bog this saw down to a halt.

The Clamp Saw comes with two very tiny 12v batteries and a charger, plus a soft carrying bag, and two blades.

I bought this saw to remove some tree limbs while on a ladder. The saw comes with 2 12 volt lithium batteries which charged in about a half hour.

Overall the saw feels rugged and lasted about 20 minutes cutting limbs up to about 2 inches.

I have also used this saw to cut steel and copper pipe. You have to get the right blade for the job but overall I've been very pleased by it.

The saw comes with a canvas bag to store it along with the charger and batteries.

For anyone doing light cutting work around the home and doesn't want to bring out a heavy reciprocating saw - this is your ticket.

I'm an electrician with moderate needs for this saw. I use it only for lightweight jobs. It is performing well, and the battery life is quite good.

Exactally what I've been looking for...a cordless combo reciprocating/pruning (my words) saw!
The adjustable handle is inguenuisly clever..great for pruning and other small jobs! A better buy, here, than Lowes.

There is no other portable saw on the market that can get into the tight spaces this can. I have another small 12v saw from "...let's just say the red company" that would not fit into a couple tight spaces that this did. The folding handle really is great. I use this saw for everything. It's as stong if not stronger than other 12v saws and because of the handle design, will fit into spaces the others won't. Obviously it will not cut as fast as the 18v or corded saws due to the shorter stroke but I have never run out of power...even cutting metal.

I can't believe how much cutting you can get done with this compact saw. I mostly purchased this because it uses the same batteries as my impact driver. Now don't think this will replace a full-on sawzall, because that's not what it's about, the cut stroke is much shorter, but for portability this unit can't be beat.

A terrific tool from Porter-Cable! Compact and surprisingly light with equally surprising power. Not a demolition tool exactly but rather something you use when you need precision and control- accessing a wall, exposing electrical or plumbing, small piece work. It can cut 2x4, 3/4" ply and metal conduit among other things.

In a licensed irrigation contractor and plumber and I bought this because of them clamp and I have a corded porter cable circular saw with laser that I like. I don't know whether it's the batteries or the saw itself but the thing simply doesn't work to any point of being useful.it won't even cut a piece of half inch copper. I purchased a third batter a few months back as one of the two it came with stopped charging and contacted porter cable who directed me to a repair place where they would determine if it fell under warranty. What a joke wasn't worth the drive for fourty bucks. Long story short buy a corded sawzall or if you want a mini hackzall get milwaukee brand. I wish I had
