Video: I start by showing 2 Le Pans (left with protector, right without) for comparison. Remember Amazon compresses videos a lot, so fine detail is hard to make out.
*At 1:50 I demonstrate applying the product onto my father's Le Pan I. I talk about a few tricks I used to make the process much easier. The video serves as a "how to" for the product. Others might have better ways, but mine works pretty well.
I have had my Le Pan tablets for several months and like them very much. Since I have been coming to rely on my TC979 (Le Pan II) more and more, I wanted to make it easier to use outside. This product makes it as functional as one can expect in direct sunlight. I still like my Kindle for bright light conditions reading, but this screen protector really helps make the Le Pan useful in bright light.
Pros:
Severely reduces glare and allows much better contrast in bright light conditions
Serves as a protective layer for the tablet screen
Fairly inexpensive for a very good benefit
Perfect fit for Le Pan I and II
Cons:
Kind of tedious application (but for what you want to do it is understandable).
***Check my video for advice on making the application process easier.***
Slight reduction in picture quality, but for most people it is hardly noticeable.
The microfibre cloth seems hit and miss. Two of the three I got worked fine, but one of them dropped a bunch of fibres and dust.
Overall feelings:
This is not a "must have" for everyone. If you find glare and reflections happening a lot on your Le Pan, then you probably want this. If you use it mostly for high quality images and in darker conditions, you can easily live without. I was never really bothered by the fingerprints, unless I tried using it in bright conditions. The glare is the reason to get this or not. I like the product, am glad I have it, and would buy again. But if I were just using my tablet at home at night and so forth, I would pass on this.
