5.0 out of 5 stars simply the best for daily fun photography
Except for the carrying case everything in the box is useful. Once you have them, you will use them too. The tripod is small enough for carrying it in a small ladies purse. Great for evening pictures. It does an autodetection for faces in the picture. I love that I can get my photos while I am on a train, the photos NEVER turn out blurred.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Canon Digital Elph Yet

I have LOVED the canon digital elph since the line started. I have been a loyal fan, and have owned these since my first digital camera.

This is the worst one I have had since about 1998.

I don't know what they changed, but it is FAR from the intuitive point and shoot I loved in my 2 year old previous powershot. About 1/3 of the...

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Canon Digital Elph Yet, April 26, 2010
This review is from: POWERSHOT SD1300IS BLUE 12MP 2.7IN LCD 4X OPTICAL ZOOM LI-ION (Electronics)

About 1/3 of the photos I take are blurry. This was never a problem for me before. It is not the blur of camera shake or of subject motion. The camera simply focuses on the wrong distance. Blurry enough that you sometimes can't recognize the faces in the photo.

The colors are oversaturated and yellowish, to the point of destroying my weekend's worth of photos. All of this is on full auto mode, out of the box.

I am returning it, and getting another brand.

Canon is unbeatable in their lenses and overall camera technology.

Great buy.
If you are looking for professional photography, this is obviously not your choice.

I received my camera kit yesterday. This is what I did NOT get as advertised a part of the kit.

1) 8 GB SD Card - I got a 4 GB instead
2) Tripod Stand
3) Memory Card Reader

Camera is good. I knew that before I ordered it. Beach Camera as a Seller is NOT.
