I use my tp1300 Ridged planer in the field, for light and heavy planing. I have auctually overhauled it after purchasing a newer three blade planer. I have planed 6 x 12 timber and had no problem with the feed. My newer three blade planer would not pull it through. Having stated that, I must add that the quality and sharpness of the two knives must be the best. Standard replacement blades from ridged are not readily available, since they went to the three blade system.
I started using the Powertec replacement blades two or more years ago. I beleive the quality is equal to what we use on our larger shop planer. They absolutly outlast anything I have used, including the auctual Ridgid replacement. For those that use a two knive system, you know the knives must be pristine. Powertec planer knives are worth resharpening. Anything less is disposable.

These planer Knives are razor sharp! They arrived quickly and are less expensive and just as good (if not better) than the rigid brand knives I have purchased in the past. I will use these these exclusively for my planer.

Fit perfect on our old Rigid TP1300 planer that Home Depot doesn't stock replacements for anymore. Performed great on alot of oak.

Junk replacement blades...not sure where the good reviews are coming from, but after one pass with a 2" board of pine, blades were chipped and worn. Will never buy again...would rather spend 10x the money on Ridgid brand blades...definitely not worth the few dollars saved

it may be a fluke, but the edges on these knives was not even close to true. as soon as i got them, i checked them on a sheet of known flat glass and there was approximately 1/64"+ daylight on each end of both POWERTEC knives included in the 2-piece set (had i attempted to use these, the resulting planed boards would have come out with a concave dish). fwiw, i checked my original equipment Ridgid brand knives on the same glass and the edges were dead flat/true.

i can't speak to how well they cut as i returned them to amazon without even installing them. disappointing to say the least, as i have several projects waiting to start that need to be first milled square and flat.

After reading the reviews for these blades I figured that they must be worth the purchase because the stock knives were toast (after 5000 bf of successful cutting). I read that these knives were better than the original...I found this to be untrue. I have only run 150 bf or so through the planer and BOTH sides of the knives are streaking the boards. For a final "clean" pass I have to run the boards through one side of the planer because there are nicks all on the other side and even my good side isn't so good anymore. I clean all of my wood before i run it through my planer and am planing the same species as I had before with the stock knives. Time to start shopping for some new ones :(

These planer knives are razor sharp and have held their edges while I have cut hundreds of board feet of hard walnut lumber. I still have not had to reverse them to use the second side.
They were shipped as expected, and were reasonably priced.

These replacement knives for the popular Rigid 13 inch planer are very hard to find in the stores. I received these in a few days after ordering and found them to be exact replacements. They were well packaged and reasonable price. The (orange) home improvement store that originally sold the tool no longer carries the blades in the stores and after waiting 3 months for their website to deliver them I gave up and ordered from Amazon. Next time I will save my time and frustration and just go directly to Amazon.
